Global Financial Firm located in Jersey City, NJ has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Project Lead/BA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Producing functional and technical specifications • Documenting end-to-end process flow. • Interpret business rules and providing feedback on Technical feasibility • Product / Application evaluation and comparison on features • Validation of System Functionality and data • Assisting in the review of all existing test cases/procedures, as needed • Data Analysis, validation and reconciliation • Tracking defects, Determine the root causes and coordinating between various teams to get those resolved.
CLIENT MANAGEMENT
• Advise Client and PM on technical aspects of project (all phases) • Play role of liaison during UAT testing ANALYTICAL SKILLS Create test scripts, including specific test cases and expected results Verify functional integrity of system design Participate in the identification and resolution of complex production support issues • Partner with development team to provide insight into root causes Manage changes to baseline requirements through a change control processes Maintain requirements traceability information throughout each project Manage the creation of flow diagrams, structured charts, and other types of system or process representations use of query tools to confirm data quality and investigate questions use of design tools to create mock screens and prototypes
PROJECT ADMINISTRATION
• Involved with day-to-day discussions of project issues / interact with PM and team members • Make strategic recommendations to PM • Act as PM delegate as necessary Provide general direction and business understanding for project team(s) Creation of artifacts required in PTS-W. Manage issues lists, including minutes from business and technical design meetings. Communicate (written and oral) information between the business and technologists Design and delivery of presentations Gather business and functional requirements and sign-offs. Assist PM with project management
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer / Information Systems. Master's degree preferred. • At least 7 years of total professional experience • At least 5 years experience in the Enterprise Banking and Financial applications, which must include Billing / Pricing applications. • Experience with projects involving SDLC methodologies • Ability to articulate business requirements and perform Business Process Analysis. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project. • Very strong oral and written communication skills. • Customer service focus • Ability to effectively work in a cross-functional team with members from multiple vendors (in addition to Client team members in Technology, Product and Operations) and working on applications built on vendor products. • Robust analytical and problem solving skills • Proven teamwork, interpersonal and follow-up skills • Attention to detail and the ability to understand the `bigger picture`
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills • Proven record of taking initiative at driving results • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize • Experience in System testing • Database skills – understanding of a database driven application. Understanding of how technologies can impact business processes. Knowledge of TOAD, SQL Analyzer will be highly desirable. • Experience in Performance Testing will be desirable.
