Position Responsibilities Summary
The Client Applications team is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst Lead
Analysts to define and deliver client reporting solutions to our client and
market facing teams. This individual will work with the firm's Client
Reporting team to gather business requirements, prepare functional
specifications, create test plans and support UAT process on scheduled
application releases and/or enhancements. In addition, this individual will
be responsible for supporting existing applications under the Client
Reporting domain - as the need arises. In this role, individual will work
closely with application development team as well.
Extensive knowledge and work experience with investments data particularly
with Fixed Income and Derivatives products/instruments is required. This
position requires a high level of direct interaction with end users,
excellent analytical and communications skills, and experience with database
technologies including SQL and Oracle.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Partner with users to iteratively collect, document and implement
requirements that deliver business value critical to the Client Reporting
· Assist in design, testing, and support of Client Reporting
applications
· Perform data gap analysis and facilitate remediation efforts
· Research and formulate business rules for various Fixed Income
catalogs for various products like Global Bond, Core Bond, High Yield, EMD,
etc.
· Document, track, and research production issues and work with
appropriate teams on the resolution
Keys to This Position:
1. Strong Systems Analyst skills are required. We will consider either a
Senior or Lead level candidate.
2. Domain knowledge: The candidate must have knowledge of Fixed Income
instruments as this individual will be working closely with the Investment
Data team as well as the Global Relationship Group (Business Development and
Account Management teams).
3. Technical: This candidate must know SQL to be able to query the
database. We would also like the candidate to be familiar with XML,
Business Intelligence tools (preferably OBIEE), data warehousing, etc. We
are seeking knowledge only so that this individual can work effectively with
the data engineering teams. The person will be operating as an Analyst so
the knowledge does not need to be as deep as the engineers.
4. Excellent communication skills are required.
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Minimum of 7 years of experience in a systems analysis role
supporting investment or client reporting applications
· Strong understanding of the investment processes, financial
markets and statistics, with a deep knowledge of Fixed Income instruments
and practices, including mortgage backed securities, swaps and other
derivatives
· Demonstrated experience in business analysis for large systems
initiatives and the ability to contribute to the development of a
comprehensive systems strategy
· Experience with Investment Data warehouses, Data marts and OLAP
technologies
· Strong understanding of market data
· Experience with Adhoc reporting tools such as Oracle OBIEE, Cognos
· Working knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
· Experience with XML
· Attention to detail, strong written, oral communication and
analytical skills
· Ability to work well in a team environment
· Self-motivated and willing to work in an energetic, fast paced
team environment

Qualifications
* 10+ yrs in IT svcs, operational executive experience and sales/sales management experience.
* Entrepreneurial or small/medium IT services company experience ($5M+ revenue) .
* Large IT services company experience is a plus.
* Extensive experience with IT staffing
* Possesses the desire and ability to assume control of a well-established company and expand its business.
* Possesses team building experience, with a collaborative, supportive approach to managing staff. Able to build strong working relationships with the STS team.
* Exhibits flexibility with regard to job duties. Maintains a can-do attitude, and is willing to do what needs to be done in a smaller company.
* IT project experience, from bid through successful delivery on time and on budget, is desirable.
* Lives within commuting distance of STS's East Brunswick location.
Duties
* Supervise and enable the work of staff, including sales and recruiting teams, in their day-to-day activities.
* Oversee the work of billable technical resources in concert with account managers and recruiters.
* Work with sales team to open new accounts. Attract and retain top-flight sales people and recruiters.
* Work closely with financial, sales and administrative teams to produce work products such as specialized financial reports, administrative reports, and RFP responses.
* Enable and enhance new and existing customer relationships.
* Practice and encourage ethical business standards.
* Acquire and disseminate relevant IT and customer business knowledge
* Report to Chairman/Owner
