West Windsor Library to host career development workshops in September

The West Windsor Branch of the Mercer County Library, in conjunction with
Alex Freund from Landing Expert Career Coaching (landingexpert.com), will
conduct a series of four three-hour career development workshops once a
week, every Tuesday starting Sept. 3 at 10 a.m.

The four modules include such topics as objectives and career plan, creating
a resume, social media in your job search, networking and communications and
compensation negotiation.

Each module will include self-assessment and practice mock-interviews in
order to personalize the sessions for the attendees.

Space is limited. Registration is required. Registration begins on Aug. 22.
The library is located at 333 North Post Rd. in Princeton Junction.

Alex Freund is a career coach who formed Landing Expert Career Coaching
services in 2007. He had a successful career as corporate director at the
headquarters of Fortune 500 companies. He graduated from Cornell
University&#39;s School of Hotel Administration and managed some 35 different
departments as a part of Facilities Administration or Support Services. Alex
has extensive experience at interviewing people for jobs and he is an expert
in preparing people for interviews. He is prominent in a number of

Listed below are next week's upcoming Networking Events. All meetings are open to the public, plus you are welcome and strongly encouraged to attend. Try attending at least one or two meetings a week, what you learn there will definitely help shorten your time in transition. Also, many of these groups convene in the evening, so it will not take time away from your daily job search activities.

Think of these meetings as opportunities, sort of like going to school, to learn something that can reduce your time in transition by gaining knowledge in job search and interviewing skills needed to excel and standout from your competition.

In traveling to these meetings, consider car pooling. Not only will it reduce the cost of driving there, but the friendly conversation will make the ride seem to go much faster.

If anyone is aware of an upcoming meeting that you would like to share with the group, please let me know and I will gladly include it in the weekly updates. Also, if any transition support group would like to receive this list of networking events, let me know and it will be my pleasure to add your group to the distribution list.

Try attending at least one or two meetings a week, what you learn there will definitely help shorten your time in transition. Also, many of these groups convene in the evening, so it will not take time away from your daily job search activities.

Think of these meetings as opportunities, sort of like going to school, to learn something that can reduce your time in transition by gaining knowledge in job search and interviewing skills needed to excel and standout from your competition.

In traveling to these meetings, consider car pooling. Not only will it reduce the cost of driving there, but the friendly conversation will make the ride seem to go much faster.

Listed below are next week’s upcoming Networking Events. Allmeetings are open to the public, plus you are welcome and strongly encouragedto attend. Try attending at least one or two meetings a week, what you learnthere will definitely help shorten your time in transition. Also, many of thesegroups convene in the evening, so it will not take time away from your dailyjob search activities.

Thinkof these meetings as opportunities, sort of like going to school, to learnsomething that can reduce your time in transition by gaining knowledge in jobsearch and interviewing skills needed to excel and standout from yourcompetition.

Intraveling to these meetings, consider car pooling. Not only will it reduce thecost of driving there, but the friendly conversation will make the ride seem togo much faster.
