SUMMARY

Responsible for performing analysis, development, program design and development, testing, and implementing the settlement and deposit related systems as well as for production system support to maintain the Bank's stable business operations.
 
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 1) General:
·   Upgrade and maintain MTS (Money Transfer System) by ACI
·   Support and maintain MTS RGW (MTS Data Warehouse), Internet-based (IBA) applications and other Bank's applications as required
·   Create and maintain QC / QTP scripts and test cases for applications under management
·   Issue analysis, troubleshooting and resolution for in-house and vendor banking applications
·   Communication with business users (including support, requirements gathering and coordination) to determine the most effective and productive alternatives for completing new projects or improving existing systems.
·   Develop new in-house applications and reports for various departments as required.
·   Analyze, review, and re-write/re-platform existing applications using the current technology standards and development environment to increase operating efficiency and/or implement new requirements.
·   Communication with vendors (ACI, SWIFT, FED, etc.)

 2) Administrative
·         Follows the policies and procedures of the bank, including but not limited to the Project Promotion, System Trouble Reporting and Production Release Approval procedures.

3) Policy
·         Obtain a basic understanding of the applicable rules and regulations that govern the Bank.
·         Comply with the Bank's "Code of Conduct".

4) Technical Skills Required
·         Knowledge of money transfer/payment/settlement systems and processes, especially SWIFT, FED and CHIPS – Expert level (a Must).
·         Experience with MTS application – a big Plus
·         UNIX, Shell script programming – Expert level (a Must)
·         Oracle – Intermediate level (a Must)
·         IBM WebSphere Application Server – Working knowledge (a Must)
·         IBM WebSphere MQ – Working knowledge (a Plus)
·         Network Protocols – Working knowledge (a Plus)
·         Microsoft SQL Server – Working knowledge (a Plus)
·         SSRS/SSIS – Working knowledge (a Plus)
·         .NET/Java – Working knowledge (a Plus)
·         HP Quality Center/QuickTest Professional – Working knowledge (a Plus)
·         Microsoft Office/VBA  – Working knowledge (a big Plus)
·         Microsoft Access
·         Microsoft Project/Visio
 
5) Management Responsibilities
·         Responsibilities include project management and related tasks within the sub-team under guidance from the sub-team leader and the Team Leader.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS OR EXPERIENCE:

• College degree in Business or Computer Science, or four to six years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience that gives an understanding of work procedures, job standards, and the job knowledge that may be required.  
• Expertise in payment/settlement software systems is required. Technical knowledge and expertise is required in UNIX, Oracle and Shell script programming.
• Employee should have at least four to six years of related business software development and support experience including money transfer/payment, business analysis skills, and database knowledge. Ability to work with both end users and technical staff is necessary.  
• Needs to be able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines

Data Analyst  

This is a 6-12 month contract role located in NYC. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY.

The Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing data based on requirements from the business as well as identifying and assessing change needs. The Data Analyst captures and documents data requirements, analyzes the impact of changes and supports the business analyst throughout the implementation process

Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Define data requirements in partnership and collaboration with the End Users, Business Analysts, and Technologists

• Extensive EXCEL experience.
• Research and map data sources relative to the current project and established requirements
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports to support solution development
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Interface with logical and physical data modeler to communicate data requirements and validate usability of database design
• Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
• Reviews feasibility studies and estimates
• Supports the design and conceptualization of new business solution options and articulates identified impacts and risks
• Works with Business Analysis Specialists/Managers to ensure consistent implementation of processes

Experience/Exposure:

• Background in the Financial Services Industry preferably Investment Banking Global Markets, Corporate Banking
• Experience in reconciling Accounting Data with underlying contract information
• Good understanding of IFRS and US GAAP Accounting
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
• Well developed analytical skills proficiency in root cause analysis, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and deliver significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrixed organization
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English (written/verbal)
• Advanced knowledge in MS Office products

Education/Certification:

• Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Business, Economics or Computer Science (or equivalent Business Analysis certification and/or relevant work experience
