The following position just came into Top Dog and we wanted to network with
you to see if you know of anyone who would be a good fit for this role. We

*Network Security Team Leader
Washington, DC Metro area*

Maryland based network engineering and consulting firm, has an extensive
pedigree in the network engineering community. Over 30% of their staff is
CCIE certified with some of the earliest certifications in the country! They
have had a hand in building some of the largest network infrastructures in
the United States. They are a privately held company and many of the
partners are nearing retirement. They are aggressively looking to add the
next generation of leadership to the team and are beginning with a Team
Leader for Network Security.
They have extensive experience with:
- Network design (from conception through implementation, including
large-scale routing protocol upgrades and network migrations
- VoIP / Unified Communications design, deployment and troubleshooting
- Network Security – Firewalls, Intrusion detection, incident response
and escalation, security policy articulation and compliance checking
- Network performance evaluation and optimization
- Troubleshooting
- Infrastructure Project Management
They are seeking to build their expertise by adding several senior level
CCIE (or similar level) Engineers with a strong vertical focus on network
security.
*REQUIREMENTS*
- You should have a CCIE or have CCIE level knowledge
- You will have domain expertise in Network Security, along with
secondary expertise in:
- Routing and Switching
- Unified Communications
- Network and/or Enterprise Management Software
You should be comfortable assuming a technical leadership role that involves
building a team of very senior network consultants
You should have demonstrable experience and the desire to build repeatable
processes, templates and architectures in a Cisco centric environment
You must have a passion and vision for growing an existing team of experts
Cultural fit is equal in importance to our client as technical competence
You should have excellent oral and written skills, and have a strong
consultative manner
You must be passionate about getting the job done right, and with keeping
customer satisfaction at the forefront of your concerns
These positions require regional (DC/MD/VA) travel along with occasional out
of region travel (well under 30%). When not on customer site, you will work
out of a home office environment. The client has a mix of Commercial and
Federal accounts, so no one requiring an employment visa sponsorship can be
considered.
to 150K base + bonus DOE
