Team Overview:
The prime responsibility of a Rates Production Services team member is to manage the 1st and 2nd
line support to the trading and risk systems across the Rates business. The ideal candidate will
have strong technical and business knowledge of the Rates space including the tasks, and
requirements, of running within a fast paced trading environment.

Role / Principal Accountabilities:
Provide trade floor Production Services Support for a wide range of electronic trading platforms and
applications including Bloomberg and ION, in addition to maintaining our inhouse and vendor based
application solutions.  Ability to analyze and support electronic trade information, market data,
price valuation, and risk from various platforms is essential.  Business line coverage includes
Fixed Income bonds, bond spreads and global rates. Desirable skills would also include structured
and credit derivatives. The electronic trading platform architecture consists of multiple external
and internal applications designed to facilitate the successful execution of Rates, Credit,
Structured and Swap trades.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in trade floor Production Support.
- Working knowledge of Fixed income Rates products (Credit and Swaps a bonus).
- Minimum 1 year experience with service-based architecture.
- Experience with electronic trading applications have connectivity to external trading applications
  such as Bloomberg, Tradeweb,eSpeed and MarkItWire to send/retrieve information.
- Able to navigate in UNIX and Windows proficently, reading and understanding the UNIX file system.
- A good understanding ITIL practices.
- Able to troubleshoot problems in multiple environments.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, and work towards tight deadlines. 
- Able to handle a fast paced trading environment.
- Experience of monitoring software and maintaining and improving rulebases.

Preferred Skills
- Fixed income and derivatives product experience
- SQL
- Autosys setup and configuration
- FIX Protocol
- ION Trading Platform
- STP solutions

Additional Information:
The ideal candidate will be a hard working, proactive individual with strong interpersonal and
communication skills who has a desire to drive continuous improvement and the ability to manage
multiple tasks at any given time. The Production Services group cover business hours from 7:00 AM to
7:00 PM it will therefore be necessary for the candidate to work either an early, or late, shift on
a rotational basis.

It identifies the four elements that interviewers focus on and involves demonstration. Audience members mock interview. It is entertaining, and many unknowns get exposed and explained.

Alex Freund is a career and interviewing coach known as the "landing expert" for publishing his 80 page list of job-search networking groups via his web site www.landingexpert.com -

He is prominent in a number of job-search networking groups; makes frequent public presentations, he does workshops on resumes and LinkedIn, teaches a career development seminar and publishes his blog focused on job seekers.

Alex worked at Fortune 100 companies headquarters managing many and large departments. He has extensive experience at interviewing people for jobs and is considered an expert in preparing people for interviews.

Alex is a Cornell University grad, lived on three continents and speaks five languages.
