Job Description

Our client, a world-class biopharmaceutical company, is seeking an IT Project Leader who will manage the development and implementation process for the company's R&D and Commercial Systems Initiatives. The position involves management of departmental or cross-functional teams (R&D, marketing, clinical, QA, regulatory affairs, HR) focused on the delivery of new or existing technology projects in a matrix environment . There are no direct reports on this role

The ideal candidate has the following background :

· BS in a technical/scientific field or equivalent work experience;

· 7-10 years experience leading enterprise-wide computer-related activities

· Strong project management (PMP desired) including experience leading and gathering requirements from multiple functional areas

· Experience in both R&D/Clinical (e.g., drug safety, Documentum, clinical application, SAS, oracle clinical ) AND Sales and Marketing (preferably SalesForce automation).

· Worked on small team size with budgets of $.5-1M

· Full SDLC end-to-end projects including analysis, design, coding, implementation and deployment in a validated environment with deep understanding of quality standards (ISO, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) as well as Sarbanes-Oxley

· Knowledge and experience in business process design and re-engineering;

· Strong team building experience and understanding of internal politics

· Can manage project team very well, especially with junior members

· Sharp business and technical skills

· Hands-on PM, no programming- may install/configure package software

· Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple medium to complex projects simultaneously;

· In-depth knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Server, Windows XP and VMware Operating Systems;

· Excellent communication skills
