Major Duties & Functions
Responsible for logical security for Telcordia's internal business applications. Position requires working with internal applications development team and business process owners to ensure adherence to security policies. Also responsible for Oracle database security and ensuring compliance with policy. Functions also include the recommendation of new policy for the protection of the internal business systems. The position also includes oversight of the corporate Business Continuity planning function.
Qualifications You Must Have
2+ years experience in an IT Security, IT auditing or business application development discipline. Bachelors degree or 3 additional years experience in IT Security, Business Applications Development, or IT auditing required.
Additional Qualifications
Prior experience with PeopleSoft, the Oracle EBusiness application suite, or Oracle database experience is desired. CDRP, CISSP, or CISA credentials are a strong plus. Strong communications skills required.

Major Duties & Functions
This is an entry level position within the corporate IT, business systems group. The business system group supports the financial, reporting and human resource systems for the corporation. This support involves all hardware, operating systems, vendor software and custom development required to meet Telcordia's business processing needs.
The position has a wide variety of potential work assignments and the opportunity to work on various tasks, such as installations, system configurations, system development, trouble-shooting situations, customer assistance, administrative support and analyzing business problems and possible solutions. The position also offers the opportunity to support tasks in different groups within the Corporate IT Business Unit.
Qualifications You Must Have
The successful applicant should possess a bachelor's degree or better in Computer Science (or related subject) and have 0-2 years of programming experience. Excellent communication skills are also a must.
Additional Qualifications
Experience with object-oriented programming / software development, in particular experience in C# and the ASP.NET framework, is a plus.
