Valeant is currently seeking a Senior Applications Developer to join it's US headquarters in Bridgewater, NJ.
Position Title: Senior Applications Developer
The Sr. Application Developer will support all Sharepoint Valeant applications: Training Tracking, Document Center, Intranet, Record Retention, etc. This individual will participate in the Data Records Retention project Implementation in Biovail, as well as providing on-going support and enhancements for the new implemented system after the GO-LIVE date in the capacity of systems developer. He will provide support for Valeant websites and the other web applications.
The role resposibilities include design and development of new and existing application solutions in order to support business processes. Interfaces with business users and functional analysts in order to understand the business requirements and ensures realization through the development of value added solution enhancements, while conforming to the system development life cycle.
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
Responsibilities:
• Participates in all project delivery phases
• Participates in the development and testing of the new systems
• Designs/architects technical solutions for Sharepoint and Data Records Retention system
• Liaison with vendors on projects and support
• Designs/architects technical solutions
• Participates in SharePoint 2010 Upgrade assessment and implementation
• Evaluates requirements and designs custom solutions to support operational and business critical and reporting processes.
• Develops detailed functional and design specifications, technical process models and supporting documentation for projects and enhancements.
• Provides post production support for SharePoint/web applications as well as for internal/external web portals
• Participates in the development and unit testing of the custom solutions, business changes/additions to systems and provides post-implementation support as directed.
• Develops implementation and rollback plans for solutions deployment/installation on development, QA and production environments
• Develops and executes Disaster and Recovery procedures
• Provides technical leadership in web/SharePoint application related projects
• Provides technical expertise for project evaluations
• Collaborates with vendors for technical development and support
• Maintains and provides technical expertise and supporting documentation in order to facilitate knowledge transfer as necessary.
• Designs and develops test plans (e.g. test objectives, test cases, test data, test scripts) for executing unit testing
• Works with Validation to documents and ensure GMP /SOX requirements are met
Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Strong experience in SharePoint 2007 development (4+), including solutions development and upgrades, development of workflows, InfoPath forms, sites and site templates and other)
• Experience with SharePoint 2010 a definite plus
• Experience with SharePoint upgrade projects
• Strong development experience in a .NET environment (5+), Visual Studio*.NET 2005/2008 ( VB.NET, ASP.NET, C# and ADO.NET)
• Experience Integrating Reporting services into Share Point portal application
• Experience in SQL Server 2005/2008 and SSSRS –SQL Server Reporting Services and Crystal reporting
• Experience with HTML and XML, JavaScript
• Experience in designing business objects ASP.NET forms and Web Services
• Experience using source code management applications: VSS (Visual Source Safe)
• Experience in problem analysis, alternative solution identification, and recommendation presentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and post production support skills
• Experience with testing methodologies, processes and tools for testing of functionality, including unit, integration, system and regression testing.
• Experience in code migration, change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle
• Understanding of 21 CRF Part 11 and SOX regulatory requirementsAbility to juggle conflicting priorities while completing projects successfully and meeting deadlines
• Sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators
• Proven ability to work in a team environment as well as ability to work independently
• Experience in creating/prioritizing detailed plans of technical tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience interacting with all levels of management.
• Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal
