My direct client in the merchandising industry has an immediate need for a
Senior PM.
Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: Midtown Manhattan
Rate: OPEN
Duration: 6 months to 1 year+
Start: ASAP
The role:
As a Project Manager, you will manage large scale projects including
replacing existing systems, managing technical teams.
The responsibilities:
- Most important skills are related to project management (minutes,
project planning, etc).
- Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies
to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high
quality standards and meet customer expectations
- Manage third party vendor and external customer project deliverables.
- Coordinate communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts
the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed.
Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
- Maintain project staff results by coaching, counseling, and
disciplining employees; plan, monitor, and appraise job results
Desired Skills:
- 7+ years of experience working as a Project Manager; must have the
ability to oversee and manage large, complex, diverse and strategic
projects that impact the organization as a whole
- Management of complex project budgets
- Solid knowledge and understanding of ERP systems such as Oracle ERP
and SAP
- Experience with formal software development methodologies and project
management processes.
- Implementing project plans and monitoring progress, resource usage and
quality
- Risk assessments and developing plans for eliminating or mitigating
the risks identified
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or
related field or equivalent work experience
- Project Management certification or successful completion of a
recognized project management curriculum is preferred
