Position Requirements
MANAGER IS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAME FROM A P&C UNDERWRIITNG BKGD OR P&C OPERATIONS BKGD. LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH 5 YRS OF EXP. ON THE BUSINESS SIDE AND WILL LIKE TO MOVE OVER TO IT SPACE. MUST BE TECHNICALLY SAVY - WILL TRAIN ON BA PIECE OF THIS JOB.
Candidates must have 5 years cumulative underwriting and/or operations experience with an in depth understanding of the commercial insurance business. Candidates must have an understanding of underwriting exposure analysis and pricing approaches. Participation in the development of insurance products and the ability to understand and interpret insurance coverage forms and endorsement documents is a plus. A generic understanding of workflow processes encountered in a commercial insurance company is desire. Actual experience utilizing a commercial insurance underwriting system with booking and reinsurance capabilities is a must. Experience with a commercial insurance underwriting system with forms generation and rating experience capability is highly preferred. Experience with multinational insurance is desirable.
An aptitude and interest in technology that supports a full lifecycle underwriting application is needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. The ability to discern business problems and collaboration with technical staff to solve the business problem is the goal of this position.
Position Description
The position is part of the IT group that is developing and enhancing the strategic UW systems within WorldSource reporting to the eWorldSource project manager. The position's primary responsibility will be to analyze business requirements and recommend systems solutions to management.
The position requires engaged discussions with the business to determine and gather their systems needs (business requirements)
