Job Description:
CipherTechs Inc is seeking a qualified information security professional for a fulltime
position. The position's main focus will be to provide clients with consulting
services, which include the design, implementation and support of various
information security projects. Candidates with previous consulting experience
and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a group are preferred.
Previous experience with firewalls, encryption, data leakage protection solutions,
network access control systems is preferred or required, as detailed below. This
opportunity will offer great learning experiences and professional development
through exposure to many diverse client environments and challenges. Plus,
training and research will be provided and encouraged.
Requirements:
Candidates must be able to demonstrate, via discussion and references, his/her
ability to successfully design, implement and support network and application
security solutions in an enterprise environment. Furthermore, detailed
understanding of information security principles is required. Applicants have to be
able to assess project needs and requirements and previous pre-sales
experience is a plus. Close interaction with project management and sales staff
will be required.
The following knowledge and experience is also sought:
1. Experience in information security focusing on deployment of network
security solutions such as firewalls, content scanning, network access
control is preferred.
2. Experience in information security controls design, planning and support is
required.
3. Experience in information security auditing is preferred.
4. Thorough understanding of TCP/IP protocol suite is required.
5. Knowledge of UNIX and Windows Server operating environments are
required.
6. Experience and understanding of network design and troubleshooting
specificity as it applies to interoperability of security systems with the
network.
7. Understanding of available redundancy solutions for firewalls and
networks.

8. Knowledge of available Information Security resources, common security
issues, risks and mitigation strategies.
