On Tuesday evening, February 9th, there will be a combined dinner meeting for current members, alumni, and guests of Association of Women in Computing (AWC),  IT-Networking, MIS Network Associates (MNA), Monmouth Networking, The Breakfast Club NJ (TBCNJ), ETP Network, and Careers in Transition (CIT) at the Holiday Inn, Totowa, NJ.

 

The dinner meeting will include a presentation by Rod Colón on his ETP Network.

Networking is having resources at your disposal—people that you can call on to connect you to companies, individuals or information that you need to turn a "cold call" into a "warm call."  How do you develop such resources whether in transition or not?  On the 9th, Rod Colón, who has a real passion for networking, will tell you how.

ETP Network Founder and CEO Rod Colón has a unique perspective on what it takes to succeed in today's global economy.  Rod shares his 24 years of experience as a corporate HR management insider, outside agency recruiter, professional networker, and career coach through a unique, common sense approach to networking and career management. His in-depth knowledge of international staffing, recruiting, and networking gives Rod a unique ability to coach and consult today's professionals regarding the building and maintenance of their personal networks.

Rod uses his passion, energy, enthusiasm, and creativity to support others. He coaches professionals in the art of leveraging relationships that maximizes personal networking opportunities. The schedule for the dinner meeting on February 9th will be:

 

-         6:00 pm – Registration, cash bar, and "speed dating"

-         6:45 to 7:15 Individual introductions with RSVP list reference – see below

-         7:00 pm - Dinner

-         8:00 pm – Rod Colón's presentation with appropriate Q & A

 

Following our usual meeting format, after you have registered and added your resume, etc. to the handout piles, everyone will participate in a series of informal networking groups i.e. "speed dating", before we sit down for dinner and the general introductions.  Briefly, these informal groups last for approximately 5 minutes.  At the end of the 5 minutes, the groups disperse, and new ones are formed with different participants.  Suggested dialogues for the groupings will be provided at the registration desk.

 

There will be an opportunity to circulate up to 50 copies of your resume, personal bio, leads, or other appropriate material in a handout from the dinner.

 

The cost will be $45 for everyone if forwarded by mail or other to John Sampson by COB on February 8th at 2 Blackfoot Cir, Wayne NJ 07470.  Checks should be made out to John. An RSVP list of attendees will be created and used to facilitate your networking activity. Current or last work affiliation, email address, and membership organization should be included in your RSVP. If you are in transition, please include the names of three target companies and the kind of position(s) you are seeking. If you are currently employed, you should provide the name of your last three employers. The preliminary RSVP will be distributed to the recipients of the initial mailing of this announcement and to all those on the list the week end before the dinner meeting for editing and informational purposes.  A "final" numbered RSVP list will be available at the registration desk on the 9th and can be used as part of your general introduction …"I'm # x on the RSVP list".

 

Since there will be walk-ins on the 9th,  the final RSVP list will be emailed to the attendees as quickly as possible after the 13th. A #ed RSVP  list will also appear on your name badge which will be available at the registration desk on the 26th.

 

We will accept a LIMITED number of walk-ins on February 9th.  Their cost will be $60 without exception as well as for RSVP's whose checks have not been received by COB on the Feb 8th. There will be NO refunds and no shows WILL be billed.

 

Again, attendees should bring 50 copies of their bio/resume, leads or materials they wish to be included in the handout for the evening of February 9th.

IMAC Service Delivery Manager (Project Manager with a Network Background)


Functional Description:

The service delivery manager (SDM) position is basically a client facing Project Manager who has a background in Networks. The successful candidate for this position will understand networks, and will be able to carry on a discussion with the network engineers, but will not be expected to actually do the hands-on network work. This is not a senior level position. This position will be responsible for coordination of customer installation for both internal and external clients, and manage connectivity services for installs, adds, moves and changes to the SFTI network. This involves definition of procedures to provide services, application of business processes, coordination of multiple departmental and vendor service providers, fulfillment monitoring and management, and development and maintenance of key account technical relationships.


Specific Tasks Performed:

• Provide support for all Install / move / add / changes for internal and external customers

• Initiate work flow for new SFTI customer orders in Remedy

Maintain customer profile database

Maintain customer request database

• Manage customer services requests

Create and maintain status for all project details in the PMT to track all customer requests
Manage the customer service requests throughout the project lifecycle

Prioritize customer request to be provisioned

Coordinate customer technical interchange meeting to gather customer requirements

Coordinate support across internal groups

Provide regular updates to client, sales team and management.

Align application testing support for clients

• Provide pre & post sales support

• Understand current & future service offerings across all of NYSE, ARCA, Euronext and B2B services at a broad level.

Qualifications

8+ years experience with HP Storage Area Network MSA/ EVA Specifically EVA3000-5000 and EVA 10000-12000 and HP Network Attached Storage and storage related technology
8+ years storage experience in a small-medium but complex enterprise environment
8+ years working with HP enterprise server hardware and typology
8+ years experience with Microsoft Platform and OS experience, IIS expertise a must. Minimum MCSE 2003 with knowledge in all aspects of Microsoft server services. AD, Mail, FTP, Excellent working knowledge of IIS and reporting and customization to enhance services.
4-5 years experience using HP storage management tools for the purpose of performance and utilization optimization 
4-5 years experience in systems analysis and/or client needs analysis and communication
4+ years managing a team and working closely with executive staff.
   
Primary Responsibilities:

Evaluates system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility between the different SAN's typologies.
Provides expertise in operating software applications, consults on complex projects/existing applications, and overall operating systems and web services
Provides Data storage planning, provisioning, deployment and support with SAN, NAS, iSCSI, direct-attached storage, & storage virtualization
Provide expertise with all internet service and mail functionality as well as internet authorities
Provides additional support to Wintel servers
Provide expertise with all datacenter emergency systems and fail safe systems and process around them
Plans, implements, and executes strategic projects.
Deploys and maintains automated systems for storage utilization, performance tracking and reporting
Support will be required for fiber connectivity, networking, and other infrastructure as it relates to storage
Support of data center operations as needed such as HP hardware installations, remote server support, tape backups, on-call rotation, enterprise level fabric switch programming and support.
Provide expertise on all aspects of system availability, performance, reporting and alerting
Must have good management and communication skills to work with various departments

Systems Administrator/Project Manager
 
….(Company Information, opening statement):  -  Is looking for an ERP Systems Administrator and Project Manager.  Candidate must have an outstanding understanding of all aspects of ERP management including but not limited to transactional flow throughout an ERP package, financial terminology/practices and financial systems management, distribution, customer service, E-Commerce, inventory management, business process development/implementation and general systems administration and maintenance.  A proven previous experience with transactional ERP and Financial applications, Cloud Computing Software and Project Management methodology is a must.  The position will be responsible for the maintenance and corrected implementation of an existing cloud based ERP package and must be able to communicate with employees at all levels and within all areas of the business.  Position will be responsible for identification of financial and operational issues
within the software, development of project plans, business processes and employee training to correct these issues and the day to day operation of the ERP software.  Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required and a proven track record of financial/operational systems and business process analysis, improvement and implementation is required. 
Position Requirements Include:
-          ERP Systems Management and Implementation Experience
-          Experience and strong understanding of all financial flows such as A/R, A/P and G/L within an ERP System
-          Proven Project Management Experience
-          Strong communication and organizational skills
-          Previous experience with Cloud Computing or distribution ERP packages
-          Previous executive and operational reporting development and analysis required
-          Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
-          Proven track record of successful systems issue resolution and business process development
-          Proven track record of employee, business process and systems development
-          Previous web based B2C experience strongly desired
-          Experience with Java Scripting, SQL and .NET applications preferred
-          Must be available for some travel
