Two Technical Writers/Editors Needed - 70,000-95,000 plus bonus - New York

Our client is seeking multiple technical writers to create documentation for
their Professional product. This position will involve a combination of
hands-on writing, reviewing and editing and managing overall documentation.
This role requires a person that thrives on working in a cross functional
organization and the ability to work directly with product development
teams, drive the scope and direction of documentation deliverables, ensure
technical accuracy, and maintain documentation standards. The role includes
researching, determining and implementing the writing standard guidelines
that will establish the next generation of documentation for our rapidly
growing product.

The role will require up to six months of product training, including direct
client interaction, to fully understand the product's functionality and
usage.

Qualifications
-3-7 years of technical writing experience or related discipline
-Superior writing and editing skills appropriate for an end user client
audience
-Excellent communication skills
-Strong ability to visually display information and format and present
images as part of effective content design
-Strong time management, organization, and self-management skills
-Ability to balance and manage multiple projects with variable timelines
-Ability to analyze and transform custom financial tools and analytics into
accurate, user-friendly documentation that can be used to report product
enhancements and training
-Ability to understand client requirements and provide useful documentation
solutions
-Demonstrated ability to learn, use, and explain new software applications
-Ability to interact with business specialists, development teams, and
senior management
-Ability to work as part of a team and proactively generate ideas towards
innovation
-Working knowledge of financial markets
-Experience using Microsoft Word
-Experience with XML and online authoring tools a strong plus
-Editing experience a strong plus
-Bachelor's degree or higher

Location: Southern NJ (limited relo availability)

Client provides a global customer base with a wide variety of specialized pressure sensitive tapes, films, and protective sheeting. Products are sold by a dedicated sales organization as well as select manufacturers representatives in North America, Europe, and Asia.

This position is responsible for, and provides leadership and coordination of, sales and marketing (primarily for the Americas) of the Division's product lines with budgeted revenues approaching $90 million. This includes developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies and accountability for profitable revenue growth, and ensuring the strength of the business as measured by goals established. 

Representative accountabilities:

• Create and ensure execution of comprehensive commercial strategies for the respective product lines / segments

• Coordinate sales and marketing to implement pricing policies and terms to enhance competitive positioning and profitability. Observe and communicate pricing changes in the industry to keep the company competitive. Recommend and justify price levels, increases, and new product activities to ensure profitable growth.

• As a key member of the Sr. leadership Team, participates in pricing and product line decisions and capital expenditure decisions.

• Assure that information is furnished to internal departments as necessary to control inventory levels and maintain stock to service customers.

Requirements:

• At least 15 years of sales and marketing experience with a least 8 of those years in a management position leading both direct and indirect sales

• Balanced experience in sales/sales management and marketing/marketing management as well as strategic planning and execution experience; 

• Prior experience in global account management in a B2B adhesives or related chemicals environment, and knowledge of value marketing (value pricing, account planning etc), and successful implementation of Value Marketing principles 

• A command of contracting, negotiating and change management. 

• Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. 

• Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage a diverse, global sales team and the ability to work in a matrix organization. 

• Must be highly customer service minded. 

• Comfortable with approximately 50% travel (domestic and international).

• Multi-country responsibility and thus management responsibility for a multicultural as well as multi-functional team

• English (the business language) is required. Spanish and/or any additional language(s) would be an attractive addition to the candidate credentials. 

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline is required. 

• Master / Graduate degree in Business is strongly preferred.
