 Location: Manhattan Compensation: 100-110K +/- based on experience level   We are working with an 18 year-old fast-paced private company with offices in five states seeking a Controller. Position requires experience with Government Contracts (Fed, State, or local level) Ideal candidate would have not-for-profit (Not required) and for profit experience. The position will report to the Vice President – Finance and will be responsible for managing all financial operations of a commercial government contractor and interacts with a broad range of constituencies both inside and outside the company.  This position will oversee a small staff (5-6) and be the primary contact with external auditors for both the annual financial audit as well as contract audits.  The responsibilities will include:·    Overall responsibility for the daily operation of the accounting department including but not limited to invoice processing, accounts payable, payroll, and purchasing·    Monthly financial closing and preparation of financial statements·    Contract budgeting, modifications and analysis·    Coordination of Deltek GCS Premier and Deltek Timekeeping·    Management of contract and external audit requirements·    Interface with customer personnel related to issues involving the finance and accounting functions·    Supervision of accounting staff and oversight of their responsibilities·    All other duties as assigned The successful candidate will be a good communicator with effective writing skills, excellent computer skills and knowledge of GAAP, and government contracting requirements.  A degree in accounting is required as well as previous supervisory/controllership experience in all aspects of the accounting cycle.  Knowledge of Deltek or other government accounting a plus.

larger clients. This role involves working with the client's existing team
to support an existing Symantec Enterprise Vault data archiving platform
supporting data files, individual Outlook PST files and Exchange public
folders. Activities will include both support for the environment and
contribution to ongoing work to bring subsidiary data into the corporate
data archive platform.
