One of SGA's financial services clients in NYC is seeking an experienced E-trading and Market Data Project Manager for a contractor position. This person must have experience managing IT projects in a front-to-back trading environment in an Investment Bank. This hands-on and well-rounded Project Manager will work on a focused technology team servicing Commodities IT.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Project manage separate work streams for Commodities new business initiatives
  • Manage new business initiatives in Americas: Primary IT contact facing off to internal IB IT departments and front to back stakeholders
  • Manage projects on time and on budget in order to meet deadlines
  • Manage project resources in a matrix reporting environment where there are competing priorities
  • Understand end to end Commodities IT systems architecture
  • Help track vendor commitments and contracts, as applicable
  • Additional responsibilities include:
  • Developing and implementation of Stakeholder Communication plans, ensuring lines are open between Stakeholders
  • Providing a resource plan that meets the skill requirements of the project and deliver on budget
  • Developing project plans and obtaining agreement and signoff on them, then executing against them
  • Managing procurement for hardware, software and consultancy contracts in collaboration with Procurement and IT resources
  • Manage vendor relationship as it pertains to the project

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of prior working experience working in a fast paced trading environment
  • 5+ years working experience as Project Manager
  • Formal training in Project Management Methodology such as PMI or Prince 2
  • PMI Certification desirable
  • 3+ years working experience in Fixed Income Markets
  • Familiarity with e-trading and market data
  • Experience with front to back project management experience in Commodities or Derivatives for large investment bank, utility or exchange.

accounting and finance functions which will include financial planning,

Project Description:  Client Information Security partners with client attorneys to preserve and produce electronic documents in support of our legal discovery requirements. Working as part of a team, this position is responsible for:
·       Determining LAN shared area file ownership for individuals associated with various cases
·       Identifying and collecting necessary LAN data and/or facilitating remote LAN collection using tools such as Intermine File Census, RoboCopy and ADfind.
·       Ongoing maintenance of a Novell Netware 5.1 Server acting as data store for LAN collections
·       Maintaining data collection logs reflecting PC and LAN collection status and storage locations
·       Coordinating the backup of data to tape in collaboration with the tape backup engineer
·       Maintaining written documentation of processes and tasks
·       Preparing metrics reporting
·       Performing risk analysis on exception data and processes and assisting in exception identification and process troubleshooting in the LAN (Novell eDirectory and Windows Active Directory environments).
·       Assisting in automation of current processes using batch files
·       Work with vendors to test, evaluate and recommend new products and utilities
·       Coordination of activities with PC image collections
·       Copying, restoring and verification of PC image data files from local site collection servers to the data store
·       Updating project tracking sheets and schedule plans.
 
Requirements/Education:
·       Strong understanding of Novell and Microsoft Windows directory and server administration.
·       Must have 3 years or more experience with NetWare Servers, eDirectory, NDS, DNS, DHCP, FTP, NSS.
·       Must have 3 years or more experience with Microsoft AD Servers or a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
·       High skill with NDS v.7.x or eDirectory v.8.x  required
·       High skill with Novell Console One or NwAdmin32 required
·       High skill with Bindview's bv-control for Novell required
·       High skill with Intermine FileCensus
·       Intermediate skill with Winbatch WIL scripting language.

Project Description:  Functional expert with 5+ years experience in Direct Marketing Campaign management who also has IT, systems, or technology experience in a large corporation as it relates to implementation of databases or CRM systems to support business goals.
 
Campaign Operations & Processes:  The candidate must demonstrate "best in class" experience in campaign process flow as it relates to the campaign software tools, merge purge, data cleansing, and waterfall reconciliations. The ideal candidate would have experience with managing CRM campaign execution in the Pharmaceutical industry. A critical requirement for this position is for the candidate to have extensive experience using campaign management tools, proprietary or professional software, in order to create marketing campaigns. Also, he/she must have experience writing functional business requirements; SQL queries; experience using Unica or other ETL tools; and experience with Affinium, other CRM software or campaign management tools. Knowledge of SAS is a plus. Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Unica NetInsight, Omniture or Google analytics is desirable. Candidate will be expected to manage and maintain overall project timelines for programs
and campaigns. MS Project experience is a must.
 
Client & Vendor Management:  A successful candidate will also be a business minded individual who has had experience on the service side either as a third party vendor or internal service provider as well as spent time on the client side. The candidate will have experience in closed loop direct marketing campaign execution. Prior vendor management experience is also required. He/she must be able to demonstrate with examples the importance of accountability, effective project management, and succinct communication.
 
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree required.
