Job Title: Project Manager
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: IT Manager
Position is located in Manhattan.

Summary:

As a Project Manger for IT software projects relating to clients underwriting business, coordinate, organize, and successfully manage activities of assigned projects, and/or services from inception to deployment. Ensure that goals or objectives of the projects are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters.

Build strong business working relationships with the subject matter experts (including Operations, Finance, and Underwriting), and IT department to ensure timelines are met. Monitor professional services vendor personnel for conformance to desired requirements in their delivered systems deliverable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform project management duties for multiple projects simultaneously.
2. Create, manage and update project plans, risk management plans, communication plans, project budgets and all other project management documentation.
3. Work with project team members and management to secure resources and funding for projects as assigned.
4. Perform day-to-day management of all project phases to ensure deliverables are completed on time and budget. Coordinate all project activities with IT project team members and business owners/ stakeholders.
5. Ensure swift issue resolution and escalations as required.
6. Manage enhancement features vs. schedule vs. resource tradeoff decisions by effectively negotiating with business stakeholders and project team members.
7. Manage vendors to ensure successful project completion.
8. Communicate frequently with executive leadership to provide project risk analysis, status, and requirements that may impact strategic direction.
9. Collaborate closely with the business stakeholders to understand business needs, processes and data sources.
10. Travel as required, approximately 10% – 25%.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of proven experience as a project manager of complex IT projects.
• Strong working knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools. Hands on experience with planning, budgeting and forecasting as it relates to project management.
• Able to work concurrently on multiple, high-priority projects.
• Excellent skills in MS Project and MS Office.
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation.
• Very strong interpersonal relationship, collaboration and facilitation skills.
• Very strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Personal time management skills and ability to meet individual and team deadlines.
• Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance.
• Must take initiative, be a decisive decision-maker and show confidence in decisions made.
• Insurance/Reinsurance industry experience and knowledge with an understanding of the terminology, business functions and processes a plus, but not required.
• Project Management certification a plus, but not required

Job Overview:
Our Client is seeking a talented and innovative interaction/ user experience designer to work on features and improvements to our customer-facing web properties and software applications. Working closely with product owners, web developers, and other designers, the Interaction Designer will help define clients core retail and content discovery experiences.

The person in this role will be responsible for defining intuitive, useful, and scalable design solutions that impact millions of clients customers. To do so s/he will utilize principles of user-centered design to produce user flows, wireframe specifications, and mockups that effectively communicate both high-level design strategies and detailed user interactions.
Key Accountabilities:
• Define and design the user interface and interaction flow for highly interactive customer-facing products, services, and mobile device applications
• Create conceptual diagrams, detailed wireframes, interactive prototypes, and visual mockups working closely with product and technology teams
• Develop and maintain detailed interaction design specifications to explicitly communicate the presentation and conditional display of information and functionality for customers
• Build upon and expand established style guides and UI patterns for web and device experiences

SUMMARY:
The Hyperion Systems Analyst is responsible for the analysis, design and development of the Hyperion System 11 Suite, The Analyst works closely with the Global Finance community to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance Finance system functionality. The candidate should add value to the financial software applications and business through their knowledge of Hyperion Essbase, Financial Management, Smart view and Reporting products with their constructive teamwork, managing the business and building relationships with other departments. Skills
EDUCATION:

EXPERIENCE:

PRODUCT SUPPORT:
o Supports the operations of existing applications;
o Properly utilizes Hyperion Support developer resources;
o Provides timely response and resolution of emergency production questions, issues and defects;
o Adheres to a production support and implementation processes;
o As Hyperion Analyst, reviews all month-end/year-end close processes needed in the system to report timely and accurate financial statements, forecasts and budgets;

APPLICATION MAINTENANCE:
o Works on periodic maintenance releases of applications, including enhancements, redesign and defects;
o Identify design improvements;
o Perform upgrade and migration tasks;
o Support daily processing and data validation

My direct client has an immediate need for a Project Coordinator  
Location: New York
Duration: 6 month contract
Rate: Open
Start Date: ASAP

 
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for supporting new and existing applications. This position would also assist with the implementation and support of internally developed applications within the company.  The primary project will be working on a customer facing website as a liason between the technical team and the business users.  This person will need an understanding of the technologies, gather requirements and create documentation.
 
The successful candidate will have some prior project management experience including involvement in managing web-based applications. Ideally they will also have some knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
 
Requirements:

This person should be an approachable & strongly motivated individual
Team player with good communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Vice President of Fixed Income Business Analyst Primary Duties: * Analyze the current state in order to create the design, definition and documentation of business requirements and associated technology and processes. * Carry out business analysis and assist developers with business knowledge and subsequent testing of systems. * Support the coordination of project test plans with the business users. * Provide status and implementation recommendations to superiors. * Prepare own and review other's full documentation in accordance with SOA policy and procedures. * Interface with Traders, Risk Managers, Middle Office Comptrollers and Back Office in all aspects of business requirements gathering and development. * Responsible for the development, maintenance of applicable documentation.

Required Skills

Requirements: * Experience of the financial industry, in some or all of following products: OTC (Interest Rate, Credit or FX) and listed derivatives (Futures and Options), fixed income products (bonds, repo, etc.), foreign exchange, structured financial products and risk management * Experience in back office processing flows and/or Accounting and Regulatory Reporting (in order to support IFRS) * Must proactively communicate and collaborate with multiple sources to analyze needs, constraints and functional requirements * Additionally, experience with use cases (UML) and/or dataflow diagrams, understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), project lifecycle, code documentation, databases, etc Education: * University degree, or equivalent, with at least 5 years financial industry experience, working with front, middle or back office
