My direct client has an immediate need for a Web Project Manager.  Please see below for details:
 
Location: NYC
Duration: 6+ Months
Rate: DOE
Start Date: ASAP
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Business and Technology initiatives to deliver results in support of client's online subscription business.
  • Focus on projects that seek to engage current customers and grow current customer base through acquisition initiatives.
  • Examples of projects include development of new online weight loss tools, new or enhancements mobile offering and eCommerce initiatives.
  • Strong team player who collaborates to build and adhere to a delivery schedule.
  • Able maintain positive team morale despite challenges and setbacks.
  • Demonstrates command of all tasks required to complete work based on inputs from project team or previous experience, comprehension of external factors influencing deadlines and milestones, knowledge of constraints impacting project scope and the impact of skill on time.
  • Creates and adheres to a task based schedule, reports deviations to delivery milestones and the related impact to project goals with ease.
  • Seen as go to by project and leadership team for all strategies relative to project direction and execution.
  • Communication skills are superior.
  • Demonstrates subject matter expertise as it relates to project objectives, business drivers, design concepts, issues and risks.
  • Displays the ability to pull the right stakeholders together to outline or agree upon change.
  • Leverages personal insights, feedback from team and prior experience to suggest creative solutions to meet complex problems.
  • Consistently delivers results without sacrificing quality.
  • Process minded and assesses opportunities for improvement at all times.
  • Identifies deficiencies in process and approach and devises actionable recommendations to introduce efficiency.
  • Holds self and team accountable for delivering high quality results
  • Leverages previous experience to proactively asses risk, develop mitigation plans and participate in solution definition with project team.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining project assets: issues documentation, status reports, meeting minutes, project plans, requirements documentation, change requests and maintains sign off of auditable documentation.
  • Conducts status meetings at both the  Executive and Team level.
  • Is savvy in determining appropriate level of information for audience.
  • Deep experience in managing vendor relationships and adhering to budgets.
  • Demonstrates control for project budgets (internal and external budgets); forecasts need, ensures contracts reflect appropriate scope to deliver upon objectives, track actuals vs. forecast, outlines risk and advise on mitigation strategies, manages vendors, and leads resource planning.
  • Able to effectively negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure that client objectives are met.
  • Recognized for the ability to facilitate change
  • Able to build consensus around goal(s), identify barriers to change and devise creative solutions to enable progress, considers success criteria at utset and works with team to meet/exceed objectives.
  • Constantly reevaluates project status versus vision to make sure that team and self are modifying implementation strategies if necessary to reach desired end state (within scope and time allotted).
  • Able to manage a team of direct reports to deliver results
  • Provides oversight for project work ensuring consistency in application of methodology and superior communications.
  • Proactively works with team to assess risk and introduce mitigation strategies.
  • Provides regular coaching and feedback for team and as a result, team shows ongoing improvement in overall project control.
  •  Able to balance mentoring with individual project responsibilities.
Skills/Attributes/Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree; MBA Preferred
  • 5-7+ Years of Project Delivery
  • Experience (minimum)
  •  PMP certification preferred
  • Experience working in a results oriented organization servicing multiple
  • Executive key stakeholders. Able to balance the needs of multiple parties.
  • Subject matter expertise spans eCommerce, Online Marketing, Social Media and/or online subscription business models.
  • Project Delivery Background Includes custom web based application development solutions with a focus on consumer facing applications
  • Strong Background in Business and Technology Consulting; experience working for a globally recognized consulting firm and/or working inside of a Technology organization/PMO that services the needs of multiple departments with global operations
  • Strong Client Services Skills
  • Experience in Business Process
  • Reengineering and Systems Modeling /Business Analysis
  • Results Driven, Highly Analytical
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Demonstrated Command and Practice of Recognized Project Methodology
  • Experience Influencing Change Outside of Reporting Environment
  • Able to Build Strong Relationships at All Levels and Demonstrates Comfort in Presenting to Executive Management
  • Effectively Copes with Change and Uncertainty and can take an otherwise ambiguous goal and turn that into something actionable
  • Demonstrated Experience Managing Large Teams (Offshore Experience Preferred)
  • Previous Responsibilities include Mentoring, Career Development and Talent Acquisition
