Insurance background a plus

Cognos Reporting Developer - Position requires fluency in Cognos Reporting Modules in versions 8.4 and up. Access Manager also required. Designing and analyzing Framework Manager, complex report writing, user assistance and training. Combines multiple technologies to provide alternative physical solutions. Performs analysis of business models, logical specifications and/or user requirements to design solutions for the application environment. Understands the various types of tools and technologies on the market and their appropriate usage.

Skills / Experience:

Experience developing BI applications in COGNOS BI 10 and higher

Working knowledge of SQL

Experience with Data Stage and SAP BW a big plus.

Education/Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or its equivalent.

Experience developing BI applications in COGNOS BI 10 and higher.

Expert in Framework Manager.

More than 5+ years of overall hands-on experience in Cognos BI development and administration.

Experience with Cognos installation and configurations will be a plus.

Responsibilities:

Working with business user and business analysts to understand the business and application requirements

Develop an understanding of the data what it is, where it comes from, where it is going and what transformations are being done to it

Developing an understating of the system and how all the pieces work together

Review data models with the data architect to ensure that the current design can support the business and reporting requirements

Review data models for Data Warehousing best practices

Translating requirements into a logical data model

Manage the creation, update and maintenance of Cognos FM model packages

Manage the development of Ad-hoc and canned reports in Cognos environment

Understand change requests and incorporate them into the current design and documentation

This is a 15 month contract in central NJ with a Fortune 100 pharma
client.

Infrastructure Project Manager - The infrastructure group is responsible

for servers, LAN/WAN, Wireless, Database and switches. The PM will

manage these aspects of the project. For example, client may upgrade

their Documentum platform. There will be an overall Project Manager, but

this group will put their own PM in place to specifically manage the

infrastructure aspect of the project. So, need an experienced PM who

knows infrastructure and has also worked with GxP and Validated systems.

SDLC experience is a must. PMP is nice to have.

10:15 - Elevator Pitch - 30 Seconds about yourself, who you are, what you are
looking for, target companies (3-4), how we can help you, how you can help
others.  Follow the rule of the Three B's
of Public Speaking: Be informative; Be brief; Be seated.

until  you choose to leave  -  Open Networking, follow up with
people you are interested in meeting following their elevator pitch, exchange
business cards, peruse the library, arrange follow up meetings, etc.

targeted companies, your value proposition, etc.
