Working the Room

 

When you attend a networking or business meeting, do you know how to comport yourself once you enter that room? Our speaker for the event is Marty Latman. Called by some people as the Best Networker they know, Marty will present the basis tools you need to use to land the position you want. Marty is the chairman of the Bergen Chapter of Financial Executive Network Group (FENG), which he created in March 2002 with 29 members. Membership within this chapter has now grown to over 2800 members.  Since its inception, FENG-Bergen Chapter has successfully helped more than 550 of its members find gainful employment. He is also the chairman of NJ Strategic Executive Networking Group (NJSENG), a FEI member, and a member of over 20 other career networking groups.

 

He has spoken at Financial Executive International (FEI), Financial Planning Association of NJ (FPANJ), Media Communication Association – International (MCA-I), Career networking Group (CNG) and others.

Lead the selection of the optimum External Service Provider (ESP) {CRO, Central/
Reference Lab, and Specialty provider} at both the tactical and strategic level
based on fit for purpose, or value added services, cost avoidance and savings

Train Clinical Teams in outsourcing procedures, assist Clinical Teams in
defining the scope of work, and in some cases define the scope of work for both
original contract and contract amendments.
Negotiate contract terms, scope of work, pricing and payment schedules, ensuring
that the agreements with the ESPs are commercially advantageous to ` `, while
minimizing regulatory, legal, and financial risks through close collaboration

Skills:

Project Description: IT Compliance Specialist with a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Compliance and Validation Subject Matter Expert working in an FDA and SOX regulated environment.
 
Must have FDA internal audit experience. Must be regulatory 21 CFR part 11 audits, not finance. Any hosting of an audit would be great.

 
- Conducts audits and assessments of SDLC related deliverables in ERP system environment
 - Will need to work with both management and associates on resolving compliance issues and executing strategies for maintaining compliance
- Experience working in SAP 4.7 or ECC 6.0 as an end user, developer, quality assurance, or validation support
- Must have practical working knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations, ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, FDA/ISO regulations relevant to Computer and Software Systems Validation
- Must be able to demonstrate practical application of Part 11 requirements into system design and associated Design History File (DHF) deliverables
- Must be Capable of working independently and within a team
- Strong communication and documentation abilities and very strong Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and critical thinking abilities are a must

Primary Responsibilities:

Looking for a strong Project Manager with Business Analyst skills.

Must have experience managing vendor relationships
Must be client facing
Must be able to connect the dots of the organization (infrastructure, DBA, etc)
Must have experience performing upgrades of different 3rd party packages.
These upgrades will deal with installation packages from vendor. 
Resource must understand how to load software on the server and must understand concepts of what other groups are doing (such as Developers, DBAs, etc).
Must have good written skills and strong verbal skills
Will be tasked with picking up documentation for projects as well as putting together user documentation.
They do not need to be technical in the sense of being a software engineer… but they MUST have a strong understanding of systems. EX:
Must be versed in what different systems there are
Must understand what the server is, what the database is, how it is all connected
MUST understand the difference between a client server application and web based application
Must understand that the application resides on the hardware
Resource must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.  Project examples include, but are not limited to:
Work with vendor and clients to upgrade one of the legal document management systems
This resource will need to complete the SOW (which is currently about half way done). So they'll need to understand what type of information goes into the SOW.
Work with vendor and clients to upgrade physical security system
Resource will  upgraded the system to Windows Server 2008 and build DR environment for the application
The  duration of the initial need is 6 months with likely extension.  The right resource has an opportunity to move to another project once this is complete.
