Our client, one of the top US investment banks, offering securities underwriting and trading, mergers and acquisitions advice, research, private equity investment, and risk management products, is seeking an IT - Project Manager

Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract

Role Overview:
-Assist with managing, planning, organizing, implementing and delivering IT projects using standard PM methodology to take a project from initiation through implementation. This role may require managing multiple projects simultaneously across various Infrastructure technology areas.
-Activities include definition of implementation approach, scope, budget and actuals tracking, resource planning, milestone tracking, management of project risks, issues, dependencies, and assists with stakeholder and business client management.

Scope & Complexity:
-Work independently to perform project management activities
-Assist and support senior management in the preparation and documentation of senior-level presentations and executive summary documents

Responsibilities:
-Collect and monitor project metrics
-Produce appropriate project-level reporting and tracking
-Apply project management standards and best practices throughout project lifecycle
-Manage a distributed project team to ensure project execution against appropriate timelines and budget

Mandatory and/or Desired Skills:
-Must have prior PM experience, managing complex infrastructure technology projects, preferably with experience supporting financial institutions
-Must have a good working knowledge and understanding of the infrastructure technology stack, including datacenter, distributed servers, storage, DB, End User, and Network technologies
-Must be able to put together senior-level project plans, stakeholder communication documents, and senior-level project status presentations
