Subject: Project/Development Manager position in New York, NY (10-05459)

04/22/2010

Greetings,

My name is Kay and I'm a recruiter at Axelon Services Corporation,
formerly known as Algomod Technologies. Our records show that you are an
experienced professional with mutual funds experience. This experience is
relevant to one of my current openings.

Global Financial Institution located in New York, NY has an immediate
opening for a Project/Development Manager.

Description:
We are looking for an advanced level consultant to fill this role. This
position has two components 1) lead the build-out of a system to support the
reconciliation of Stock Plan Services on the Brokerage Platform and 2)
provide project management support for the 2 Mutual Funds projects.

The reconciliation of Stock Plan Services is a brand new development effort.
The project is currently being sized. The role requires the individual to
interface directly with business and operations personnel, other IT groups
and senior management on both the Technology and Business organizations.

Due to the amount of work in-flight to integrate the two platforms, the
projects require more focus and attention. This person will assist in
managing all of the projects across the Mutual Funds Technology group.

The chosen candidate will lead a team of resources; the exact number is yet
to be determined, primarily utilizing an on/offshore model. The candidate
will also perform hands-on work throughout the full life cycle of this
effort: design, development/programming tasks, through delivery into
production.

The ultimate plan is to utilize the contractor to spearhead the build out
effort and prepare an in-house team to take on support and development
responsibility going forward after integration.

The component of this role requires the person to work with the existing
managers to track and manage the day to day work across theorganizations.
Although, the financial integration is top priority, there are critical
projects surfacing through the project pipeline that also need our
attention.

OPPORTUNITY:
This is an opportunity to play an integral part in supporting a critical
Client process as well as being on the ground floor of one of the largest
mergers on Wall Street. The individual will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced
development team with interfaces to a number of technology and business
groups.

Skills Required:
Analytical: Ability to analyze project requests, interpret business
requirements, define technical requirements, and execute on designing,
developing, , implementing and supporting the final product. Also, the
ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously is a plus.

Technical: DB2, CICS, COBOL II, .NET, UDB. The resource would be required to
manage projects using these skill sets. MS office skills including Visio and
Project are required. The role requires 8 plus years of experience in a
similar position.

Industry technologies: NSCC Mutual Fund Services (FundServ, Networking,
Commission Settlement, DCC&S)

Managerial: Must be able to manage utilizing an offshore model, where
roughly 30% of the team would be located onshore and 70% of the team would
be located offshore.

Bachelor's Degree and 5-10 years relevant experience.

NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Financial industry experience, more specifically experience supporting
Mutual Funds Product is required. An understanding of Mutual Funds
Sub-accounting is highly preferred. Experience with Mutual Funds
Sub-accounting conversions a plus.

The individual must exhibit a great deal of personal initiative and
accountability. Take a project/task from Analysis through Implementation.
Provide Support to business and technology in a timely manner with little
need for supervision.
The person must have the ability to communicate across all levels of the
organization on both business and technical issues as well as have
experience in driving change across a technology team while nurturing
relationships in the process.

A detailed understanding of off-shore development practices; decision
metrics for determining when to use various sourcing models, critical
success factors, standard industry practices, practice leaders in the
industry, etc.

Possess the ability to approach problems as challenges and deal with them
constructively. Be an example for other team members and promote this
behavior at the same time.

If you are qualified, available, interested, planning to make a change, or
know of a friend who might have the required qualifications and interest,
please respond via e-mail and include an updated resume along with a daytime
phone number so I can reach you. In considering candidates, time is of the
essence, so please respond ASAP. Thank you.

Sincerely yours,
