Position Overview
Align is seeking an experienced professional with Network Management systems
administration experience. Candidates must be collaborative, team players
with a strong a customer focus.
General Details
o This position will work in our Network Operations Center (NOC)
located in Piscataway, NJ.
o This is a full-time position offering full benefits, a competitive

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
o Perform day-to-day administration of Orion SolarWinds monitoring
tools.
o Provide technical support to ensure monitoring performance.
o Monitor SolarWinds activity to ensure optimum uptime and performance
in a proactive manner.
o Participate in new client turn-ups.
o Perform implementation, maintenance and upgrades of monitoring
tools.
o Work directly with NOC Manager on day-to-day activities.
o Participate in research and development of new tools.
o Work with vendors to evaluate, install and support new tools as well
as existing network management systems and products.
o Work with vendors on tools related issues.
o Provide expert knowledge of network management tools, designs and
plans the presentation of data to improve the efficiency in performing daily
operations and proactive monitoring of the network.
o Assist in expert troubleshooting of network-related problems and
monitoring of the network.
o Manage upgrades of network management products, servers and
Operating Systems to maintain integrity of network management systems and
products.
o Manage and foster productive client relationships by:
" Communicates with new clients to identify monitoring requirements,
thresholds, escalations, notifications and SLAs.
" Manages day-to-day client interaction and expectations for multiple
or large-scale projects.
" Act as a trusted advisor and provide counsel and solution options to
clients relative to monitoring issues.
o Occasional after hours and weekend work to perform tasks that cannot
be done during business hours.
Job Qualifications
o Experience with Orion SolarWinds administration
o Some NOC experience working in a Level 1 or 2 support role
o Experience with monitoring tools
o Knowledge of basic network protocols
o Knowledge of server OS and Windows applications
o Knowledge or understanding of SNMP, Syslog, IP addressing
o Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements
o Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system a plus
o Cisco CCNA certification a plus
o Experience with VB Scripting is a plus

o Orion Core 2012.2.2
o SAM 5.5.0
o NCM 7.1.1
o NPM 10.4.2
o NTA 3.10.0
o Storage 5.1.0
o IVIM 1.5.0
o VNQM 4.0
