This requires a strong technical leader of Server Engineers with VM ware, Active Directory and other technologies around Virtualization. My client wants someone out of a large global organization, will manage 10 technical engineers as well be responsible for the strategy and budgets/
This position is located in South Florida
Base salary of $155+15% bonus
relocation is offered as a sign on bonus.

Associate Director - Global Information Technology - Server Engineering

Responsibility:  Global - Server Engineering, Architecture and Design; including disaster recovery services

Experience Required:
- B. S.  Degree in Computer Science or 10+ years of relevant industry experience. 
- Minimum, 5 years of experience in managing a large scale enterprise level server infrastructure team in global environment.  Delivering infrastructure services across geographic and business boundaries.
- Capability to think in terms of industrial value chains and to manage the service end-to-end (from sourcing to pricing, from global to local).
- Significant knowledge of enterprise level server architecture and virtualization technologies.
- Significant knowledge of Active Directory, VMware, Hyper V, Vsphere, IT Security, Citrix, high availability configurations, capacity management, system design, storage, backup and recovery technologies.
- Experience in managing large scale global infrastructure and business projects.
- Financial experience in managing operational and capital budgets, as well as experience with cross departmental charge back models.

Position Overview:
This position will manage a team of highly technical engineering resources, who are capable of covering a broad range of technologies and infrastructure services.  This leadership position will be responsible for leading this Technical Services team to success.

- Aligns IT Services with business and the overall IT strategy.
- Builds an organization focused on continuous improvements and operational excellence.  Provides measurement through balance scorecards, key performance indicators and customer satisfaction surveys.
- Achieves agreed business targets in terms of quality, time and cost.
- Creates best in class technology service organization that relates to industry best practice (price/performance etc.)

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a global strategy for server engineering of the Windows, UNIX, LINUX and AS/400 technologies.
- Responsible for the service life cycle management of Windows, UNIX, LINUX and AS/400 disciplines, including the architecture and 5 year technology roadmap
- Responsible for delivering Global IT Infrastructure Services to all divisions, as it relates to server engineering.  Responsibilities for this role include building a global technical services organization that will support enterprise systems, storage and backup & recovery infrastructure; including the engineering, operations, technical support and continuous service improvement functions.
- Responsible for driving system virtualization levels to a target of 90%.
- Responsible for producing meaningful management metrics and KPI's for all areas of functional responsibility.
- Responsible for ensuring that internally and externally sourced IT services in the area of Enterprise Systems Architecture, Systems Management, Capacity Management, Storage Management, Backup and Restore are all aligned with the business requirements of divisions.  Those services are delivered in accordance with customer requirements, IT Standards and are aligned with industry best practice standards.
- Responsible for contract negotiation for all technical system software, license renewals and monitoring tool software.  Such as negotiating of the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (EA) and Oracle licenses. 
- Responsible for service level management, process improvements, demand management, capacity management, configuration management, change management , financial management, incident management & problem management, vendor management and contract management
- Develop and define strategic technology standards across Windows, UNIX, LINUX and AS/400 disciplines.  Keeping abreast of new server, performance and virtualization technologies, defining business use cases where applicable.
- Manage and develop the internal talent of the server engineering teams.  Setting measureable goals, conducting performance evaluations and developing organizational succession plans.
- Provide technology solutions that will support and align with business needs and requirements.
- Manages the service or service portfolio offered to customers. (Leads decisions to add, freeze, modify or discontinue the service or services within the functional towers.)
- Manages processes and resources delivering the service, responsible for overseeing the service delivery team, ensuring the coordination of this team in overall planning activities, service delivery and issue resolution.
- Ensures across all divisions within that all supporting components of the service, including any associated Service Level Agreements (SLA), Operational Level Agreements (OLA) and Underpinning Contracts (UC) are aligned and managed as an integrated service.
-Responsible for the overall continuous improvement, cost reduction and performance of the services.
- Is responsible for the budgeting and resource allocation for the service(s) for which he/she is responsible.
- Periodically monitors and reviews performance against the SLA/OLA service and/or portfolio.
- Plans and negotiates with business liaisons to establish the overall service(s) and the associated characteristics of service(s) needed.
- Collaborates with IT Financial Management to establish and update the services pricing, chargeback and budget strategy.
- Collaborates with the Sourcing Organization on supplier management.  Establishes/reviews/approves key contracts with external service providers, as required.
- Negotiates key SLAs/OLAs, as needed.
- Establishes/Updates/Approves the Service Catalogue entries, as required.
- May oversee (or chair a committee that oversees) continuous service improvement initiatives associated with ITIL core processes.
- Contributes and collaborates with Global IT service lines and organizations, in order to maximize business value creation of products and services delivered.
- Ensure effectiveness of completed remediation and/or completion of ongoing remediation.
- Responsible for regular reviews and signoff on compliance documentation for IT systems, adjusting documentation to meet business and regulatory requirements, redesigning system documentation as necessary.
- Adhere to Global IT Control Framework and processes, in order to increase quality and ensure IT compliance.
