Systems Administrator – Northern NJ

 

The Systems Administrator will play a major role in the evaluation, selection and implementation of wireless solutions, desktops, servers, cloud solutions, networks and remote plant/office technologies. The individual will oversee the IT service log and will also be responsible for all end-user account administration.  The position reports into the Director of IT.

 

Responsibilities

Service Delivery

•    Responsible for the configuration, delivery and management of all desktop and wireless

hand-held devices.

·         Oversee the helpdesk service log ensuring service levels are met and quality service is provided; expected to provide performance/baseline reports from service logs

·         Primary person responsible for providing support to all remote locations

·         Manage all computer, phone and IT equipment inventory (evaluate, purchase, test, track)

·         Provide emergency after hour coverage as required

 

Requirements

·         5+ years' experience supporting networks (multi-site) and windows server environments

·         5+ years providing or managing desktop support with over 100+ stations

·         3+ years' experience supporting MSOffice (word, excel, outlook)

·         Solid experience administering security accounts with Exchange and Windows AD

·         Recent hands-on experience supporting wireless and mobile technologies (Androids and iPhones)

·         Full understanding of cabling technologies and premise wiring (voice, data, video)

·         2+ years' experience supporting phone systems – cloud based VoIP a big plus

·         Some experience working with and supporting SharePoint

·         MCSE or CCNA certified is a plus    

 

Other requirements

·         Must be willing to travel to plants and office location in the tri-state area when required

·         Must be available to provide afterhours emergency coverage for critical production systems and environments

·         Must be able to prioritize and multi-tasks workloads and projects

·         Must have proof of citizenship or permanent residence status

·         B.S. degree or equivalent work experience
