Job Description:

We are looking for a Hands on Technical Test Lead for the Firmwide CRM technology team in the NY metro area. The Candidate needs to be able to work with, coach, guide and manage a team of geographically dispersed team members in a very dynamic, rapidly evolving and high pressure, high visibility project setting. The candidate is expected to contribute both in a hands on fashion as well as performing qa lead/managerial activities across ~20 team members. The following is a listing of some of the key focus areas for the candidate. (not an all-inclusive list).

Responsibilities:
* Rapidly ramp up on and learn the CRM application landscape within the first 90 days.
* Design, Develop and Drive QA strategy for all projects within the Firmwide CRM technology group.
* Take a very hands on approach to implementing QA strategy right from requirements analysis, test design, estimates, test execution, reporting, escalation, stakeholder communication, managing output of team and essentially the end to end spectrum of QA for the CRM technology group.
* Own the quality and timeliness of delivery across all projects within the CRM technology group.
* Liaise with the performance engineering and automation test engineering groups to drive performance testing and automation test coverage within QA.
* Collaborate with Developers, Development managers, product managers, business unit stakeholders and other groups and drive QA standards by engaging with all teams throughout the SDLC.
* Maintain, Retain , Record and build technical and domain knowledge base of the team members;
* Handle escalations and manage expectations of qa and test cycle with senior stakeholders.
* Communicate key issues and progress updates in a regular, accurate, timely fashion.
* Coach peers and subordinates on processes and provide guidance and course correction to team members when needed.
* Be accountable and responsible for product quality and project delivery across all projects within CRM.
* Work with and Report back to CRM QA Head on progress, issues etc.
* Stretching as and when required to accommodate the projects asks. This potentially includes staggered work timings as well.
* Contribute to and take part in QA department goals in addition to project and delivery responsibilities.

Technical Skills:
* Solid functional Test design skills , Database testing and data modeling, Datawarehousing, SQL, ETL concepts,
* Windows app testing, web testing, testing of Rich Interactive apps, Unix, MS Office tools, Basic programming in .NET, Shell Scripting, VB Script, IDE?s like DBArtisan, Putty, Eclipse etc., MS Project, Web services testing,
* Device testing (major bonus if the candidate has experience testing telephony devices ? like Turrets and Cisco
* IP phones, Avaya phones etc.), Performance testing, some automation engineering experience.
* Web services testing, static testing of data models, Code Coverage and instrumentation tools, Predictive Analytics - R/SPSS/SAS
* Basic understanding of Python libraries supporting analytics
* Experience setting up and managing Continuous integration, VB Script, Javascript , Shell Script and Windows Powershell

Managerial Skills.
* Requirement analysis, test cycle end to end management, estimations, negotiation , task allocation, planning, monitoring, reporting, escalation, stakeholder management, prioritization, overall project management.
* Excellent project management skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Major Plus If the candidate has prior experience and deep knowledge on CRM systems.

Qualifications:
* 10+ (atleast 8 years managing ~10-15 team members.)
Education:
* Bachelors Degree (Masters IT/Comp Sci background is a plus).
