Subject: GenY Networking Group - MEETING & NETWORKING REMINDER SEPTEMBER 16th

To all the Friends of the GenY Networking Group – thank you again for your continued support!

The next GenY Networking Group session will be held Wednesday, September 16th, 7 PM, Library of the Chathams (see flyer attached).

We welcome for the first time to GenY – David Deutsch   who will present Lead Generation (and More) Using Social Media .

Social media – we see it and use it every day.  It is pervasive, found on more and more devices allowing people to create, share or exchange information, ideas, pictures, videos, etc. in virtual communities and networks .

It is ALWAYS discussed in job search and networking meetings – need I say more?

So we are very happy to have David with us at this upcoming meeting.

About our Speaker – David Deutsch is Founder and Chief Lead Generator of SynergiSocial , a social media strategy firm. He is also Social Media Strategist-in-Residence at TechLaunch , a tech accelerator program in Montclair, NJ.  He has been using social tools since 2003, long before the term existed.  Since 2010 he has consulted with hundreds of firms, trade associations and non-profit groups on how to use social media to grow their businesses.  Fun fact:  David studied Mandarin Chinese in Shanghai for a year where, among other things, he learned to speak the language like a smart five-year-old and was nearly trampled by a giant pig.

So come out and join us – please plan to attend and spread the word.  I am confident that David will not disappoint, and that you will enjoy this evening.

Meeting Agenda –

- General Networking --> arrive early to meet new contacts, catch up with old friends

- Introductions --> hone your 'elevator pitch'; master this basic element of job search, networking, interviewing

- Presentation --> Lead Generation (and More) Using Social Media – David Deutsch

*** 2015 Calendar - Future meeting dates – Oct 7, 21, Nov 4, 18 ***

If you have attended this group in the past and found the evening to be both rewarding and informative please spread the word, and invite a friend.

Finally for all cc'd on this message - if you know a twenty-something (or early thirty-something) who could benefit from a forum dedicated to the specific dynamic of Generation Y please forward this email.  For more information see the group's Facebook - GenY Networking Group , or contact me.

Regards, joe f
