Overview
Our client is seeking a Director of Financial Systems who will provide
technical and strategic leadership to develop technology standards for the
global financial systems across the enterprise. The Director will act as an
end-to-end service broker to the finance teams, including requirements
gathering, functional design, systems and user documentation, testing and
training and ensuring that policies, controls and processes are in
compliance with regulatory requirements.
This fulltime employee position is located in Cheshire, CT
Education
* Bachelor's degree; MBA degree in Finance field strongly preferred
* Project Management or Six Sigma or similar certifications strongly
preferred
* Certifications in finance domain (e.g., CPA, CFA, CTP, FP&A)
strongly preferred
Skills and Qualifications:
* 15+ years of successfully managing and delivering on finance
transformation initiatives
* 5+ years' experience working with SAP platforms-ECC, BI and BPC
strongly preferred; non-SAP platform (Oracle Financials, Hyperion, Cognos
etc.) will be considered
* 10+ years of experience with budget and people management
* Experience in building or managing financial systems roadmap
demonstrating an exceptional aptitude for selecting and developing the right
systems, technology, and people.
* Experience managing global or regional projects with team members in
multiple locations
* Expertise in project management methodologies e.g. PMP, PRINCE2 and/
or operational excellence tools e.g. Six Sigma
* Experience with change management methodologies, organizational
design, different operating or business models and business process
re-engineering
* Excellent communication style and proven success balancing project
management, business analysis and technology strategy/implementation
* Ability to build relationships across the finance and IT functions
while pursuing the corporate needs for standardization, security, innovation
and efficiency.
* Broad and thorough understanding of the accounting, planning &
forecasting, treasury, tax and procurement processes
* Experience in Corporate FP&A or Accounting role and then moving to
an IT role supporting broader finance function AND/OR Consultant with a
top-tier consulting firm leading and implementing SAP-centric finance
transformation programs
* Experience with Shared Services a plus
* Bio-pharma industry or life sciences consulting background preferred
