Listed below are Next Week's Upcoming Networking Events. Allmeetings are open to the public, plus you are welcome and strongly encouragedto attend.

Try not to miss an opportunity where you canexpand your network, make new friends, share knowledge with your peers, andhear highly relevant and beneficial insights and perspectives from experts inthe marketplace. Make it a goal to attend at least one or twomeetings a week.

In traveling to these events, consider carpooling. Not only will it reduce the cost of drivingthere, but the friendly conversation will make the ride seem to go much faster.

Individuals give a 15 second elevator speech aboutthemselves -- who you are, what you are looking for, target companies (2-3),how the group can help you, and how you can help the group. This is followed bya short period for networking with people you would like to introduce yourselfto and exchange business cards. The group then divides into smaller teams for:1) Resume Assistance, (Please bring 15 copies of your resume if you want itreviewed.) or 2) Support in Overcoming Job Search Obstacles. This includes: A)Small group advice for individuals who have hit the wall and need help toreinvigorate their job search, or B) Large group discussion on various jobsearch related topics. Saturday, November 21st from 10:00am – 12 Noon: The PrincetonPublic Library will host DavidSchuchman, who will give a class titled: Introduction to Email Marketing Using MailChimp. Sending an emailmessage to a group of people is a productive way to advertise a product orservice, provide information to others and enhance a relationship withcontacts. In this class, you will set up your own MailChimpaccount. You will learn how to create email lists and forms, add and importemail addresses and customer data to your email lists, and prepare and sendemail campaign messages. Saturday, November 21st from 11:30am - 1:00 pm: The New YorkScience, Industry and Business Library will host SherryNatkow, who will give a presentation titled: Keep the Momentum Going. Sherry leads this interactive workshopfor job-seekers who have been looking for work for at least 6 months. Inthe best of times, looking for a job is a lonely experience. We stay inour apartments too much of the time in front of the computer. This workshopoffers us the opportunity to exchange information and learn from eachother. When we wonder what to do next, or what works, you can bet thatsomeone has new information and a tested strategy to offer. We will pool our resources, ask questions ofeach other, and share our collective wisdom as job-seekers, how to stayfocused, energized, sane, hopeful, and professionally connected.
