Good Morning to All:

I am looking to fill a position at JR Cigar's corporate headquarters.
We have 8 retail stores in the United States and an on line business www.jrcigar.com
Our business is cigars; however we also sell an assortment of all
discounted merchandise such as: perfume, home goods, apparel, and so much more....
Our prices are so low you will look at the tag twice.

Our parent company is Imperial Tobacco which is the 4th largest tobacco company
in the world.
Due to the nature of the business some parts of the building are smoke friendly.
To following are the specs for the job opening.

Accountant/Senior Accountant:
Small accounting staff – requires flexibility and ability to take on multiple responsibilities.

Minimum level of work experience is 5 years (but more is preferable).

Accounting Degree Required

Excellent Excel skills required

CPA a Strong PLUS

Experience/background in a "multi-company" environment would be a plus

Tax knowledge and/or experience a plus

General and cost accounting background with experience in budgeting/forecasting and inventory accounting would be ideal.

MUST be willing to travel as required, (sometimes requires a weekend stay over).
Most travel is related to physical inventory observation.

Self starter, fast learner, proven ability to work independently and respect confidentiality.

Responsibilities:Initially you will learn and assume responsibilities in the areas of inventory control, inventory/cost accounting and budgeting/forecasting. There is potential to move into other areas such as general accounting and tax.

- BMC UNIX, Logscan, Process Monitoring, Oracle, Internet and Hardware by Sentry Software - Knowledge Module experience
- BMC PSL Scripting
- snmp protocol knowledge (traps, MIBS, sets, gets)
- UNIX shell scripting
- Linux/Solaris package creation
- Good documentation skills
- Highly motivated self-starter
- C programming experience desired
- HP OpenView Node Manager desired
