Sr. UI Developers - Mr.-Mid Level Java Engineer- Jr. Mid level java JSP Struts, jquery java Engineer- All contracts - NYC

 

 

All are contract-to-hire with tentative hire dates in 2011 or 2012
depending on the candidate's performance

Mid-Sr UI Developers (3)

The User Interface Developer will implement front-end coding best
practices for Client's learning and custom publishing platforms. S/he
will participate in development of a common set of Web 2.0 user
interface standards
and tools which will be shared across all media
technology products and will have the opportunity to research and
prototype new technologies to enhance the user interface and user
experience. S/he will also collaborate on storyboards, wire frames, and
interface flow model documents using the Agile process.

S/he should have 2-5 years experience as a User Interface (Front end)
Developer, strong knowledge of HTML/XHMTL, CSS and JavaScript, and
knowledge of table-less CSS2 positioning for 508 Compliancy

Additional skills that will make a candidate successful: Agile
methodology
familiarity, understanding of cross-browser compliance
version 5+ browsers in a Windows/Mac environment, experience working
with PhotoShop for layouts and design modification, Flash, JSP and good
oral and written communication skills.

Custom Publishing & Adaptive Learning, Jr-Mid Level Java Engineer (1)

is seeking an ambitious, articulate Web Application/J2EE
architect/developer with 1-5 years of experience to support and develop
adaptive, student-driven learning initiatives and custom publishing
solutions.

Candidates should have experience with Web Application development with
Java, J2EE, web services and XML. They should be willing and able
communicators, able to work with Project Managers and Business Analysts
to reach defect resolution and design compromises. XQuery is a plus.

Connect Learning Platform Junior - Jr-Mid level Java, JSP, Struts,
JQuery, Java Engineer (1)

is seeking an ambitious, articulate Web Application developer on a
contract-to-hire basis to assist with developing and supporting
CLIENT's learning platform, Connect. Connect delivers instructional,
assessment and course management features to over a million students
across the globe.

Candidates should have 1-5 years of experience with Web Application
development
with JSP, Java, Struts and/or Spring MVC Framework or other
web development framework. They should have sufficient JavaScript, CSS
and HTML and Java skills to design and develop code to glue the front
and back ends together. Ideal candidates would also have experience with
test-driven development. Candidates should also be willing and able
communicators able to reach defect resolution and design compromises
with designers.
