"Business Process Improvement Methods & Tools for Business Analysts"
Organizations produce value of products and services through the
interaction of processes, people, and technology, supported by an
underlying infrastructure. Process is how the work gets done, people
are who does the work and technology is how the work is enabled.
Business Processes are the vehicle which facilitates the interaction
of people and technology—in every organization—irrespective of
industry. Therefore it is imperative that the processes are improved
and optimized to maximize the organization's value proposition. The
professional practice of managing these processes is called Business
Process Management (BPM)
Business managers are responsible for the day-to-day execution of the
processes; but they need professional experts in measuring, analyzing
and improving processes and ensuring that optimal designs are
communicated for IT automation. These experts include Process
Analysts, Business Analysts and IT Analysts. This presentation
provides an overview of the methods and tools for improving processes;
and how Business Analysts can build their process skills to enhance
their
capability and value to the organization.

This interactive-presentation provides an overview of the following:

Business Process concepts, scoping for improvement and building maps
for understanding how work gets done
Proven Methodology and tools for improving business processes
Competencies required for business process analysis and how Business
Analysts can play a key role in this professional practice
