Description

Position Summary:

Oversee design, implementation and day-to-day operations of the network
and network-related projects. Manage all security for the data center
and Client's technology environment. Maintain the development of the
wireless and telecommunications infrastructures as new technologies and
methods of communicating emerge.

· Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Manage the daily operation and oversight of the
network, including LAN and WAN operations and data/communications
infrastructure:

• Design, plan and manage network-related
projects from conceptual design to implementation;

• Resolve complex configuration and
troubleshooting issues within a dynamic network infrastructure, and
create and maintain documentation regarding networking infrastructure,
standards and projects;

• Procure hardware and software, track inventory
and provide technical leadership in field operations and installations.

• Research, design, plan, implement, monitor and
manage the firewall, intrusion detection and other security-related
products across the company's technology environment. Ensure PCI-DSS
2.0 compliance.

· Coordinate and provide oversight of all data
center security (physical, environmental, virtual, etc.).

· Manage the relationship between the company and
services outsourcing providers, and work with the outsourcing providers
in introducing new technology services to the company.

· Maintain and plan the growth of the wireless
infrastructure in support of emerging technology as it relates to
mobility and its integration into retail technology.

· Maintain and plan the growth of the
telecommunications infrastructure to allow for new and efficient methods
of communicating to our retail and operations facilities and beyond,
including mobile devices and long distance services.

· Manage the company's domains, DNS, active
directory and server administration to include user and computer
accounts, security groups and distribution groups.

· Oversee the administration of the email system,
email security system and related communications systems.

· Coordinate server, desktop and laptop security and
provide oversight of the server control rooms.

· Ensure that adequate back-up power (UPS and/or
generator) is functioning and stable during power outages.

· Plan, direct and oversee the back-up, disaster
recovery and business continuance functions of the company's IT systems
through the use of offsite recovery services, SAN, NAS and
virtualization technologies.

· Assist the help desk with issues that need
escalation to the server or infrastructure level.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information
Technology or related disciplines from an accredited institution, plus
seven years of relevant management experience; or Master's Degree in
above stated fields from an accredited institution, with five years of
management experience.

· Prior experience in progressively higher levels of
management responsibility, including budget developments as well as
supervision of professionals working with large, complex administrative
systems.

· Technical experience/knowledge including network
infrastructure, content management systems, telecommunications, project
and budget management, and managing a network infrastructure to support
a complex multiple-site enterprise.

· Excellent interpersonal, communication and
presentation skills.

Job Description: Provide Tier 2 24/7  Remote Technical Support for a 5ESS Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) Network.  Candidates must have prior experience in analyzing and troubleshooting call processing, database and hardware associated with the 5ESS CDMA switch.  Candidates must a good working knowledge of the following:  
·         ECP (Executive Cellular Processor) is responsible for handling call setup, teardown, and handoff of 3G wireless voice and data calls. The hardware is a duplex 3B21D AM (Administrative Module)
·         5ESS side AM (Duplex 3B21D AM, same hardware as the ECP, only on the 5ESS side)
·         CM (Communications Module) CM 2 and CM 3
·         SM (Switching Module) SMXC, Switching Module Xpanded Compact and the older SM2K
·         OFI (Optical Facility Interface) - primary hardware associated with interfacing with the transmission facility network 
·         OMP (Office Monitor Processor) - non call processing computer which contains switch output messages that are dumped by the switch technicians to retrieve data
·         Support (TrFO and IPBH), call processing and traffic measurements desired
Candidates  tasks includes:
·         Act as the primary customer interface providing premium 5ESS CDMA support services against service level agreements.
·         Ensure Key Performance Indicators are met and exceeded.  Customer Satisfaction is of the utmost importance.
·         Analyzing translations, routing, trunking, hardware and charging switch data to identify troubles and correct problems, and performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
·         Responding to time-sensitive trouble calls etc.  Background in troubleshooting and maintaining 5ESS CDMA switch hardware, switch software and switch operations is a must.
·         Manage trouble resolutions with customers as a single interface
·         Provide trouble resolution and make recommendations to customers
·         Provide disaster support
·         Support Customer installation ressources
 
Looking for former 5ESS CDMA Customer Technical Support or RBOC 5ESS Electronic Systems Assistance Center (ESAC) personnel.  The Tier 2 position is the first level of technical support for the end customer.  The Tier 2 associates are required to have EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER FOCUS AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS.  Candidates do not need to have all of the above skill but must be an expert in some of the defined areas.  Please indicate your areas of expertise when responding.
 
Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge); Expertise and Experience in the 5ESS CDMA area is required; BS degree expected but waived with SME background; Strong written and verbal communications skills,  Strong organizational skills with attention to details and procedures, Good analytical and problem solving skills, Good working knowledge of CDMA infrastructure and associated ancillary processes.
