Senior Operational Risk Process Analyst

 
Description

 
Responsibilities:

 

 
Document and analyze existing risk management processes, systems and
data flows to identify potential opportunities for improvement

 
Facilitate business process design workshops with business teams,
identify improvement opportunities, model and analyze business impact of
future state design and align with Client-state strategy

 
Identify, document and analyze emerging risks and their potential impact
to Client and current/proposed risk management processes

 
Develop capabilities to allow for correlation and quantitative analysis
of supplier risk data

 
Persuade and influence senior level stakeholders and external parties
through outstanding communication and negotiation skills

 
Provide in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking
to define problems and develop innovative solutions

 
Collect, review, document and communicate business needs and
requirements and act as an advocate to ensure their successful
implementation

 
Coordinate testing of proposed macro process improvement with necessary
stakeholders and ensure participant feedback is appropriately
incorporated

 
Qualifications

 
Minimum: BS/BA degree. Preferred: in Business Administration

 
Relevant professional certifications including CIA, CISA, CMA

 
5+ years of experience as an Analyst on process re-engineering projects

 
7+ of experience in Operational Risk, Technology Risk and/or Operations
Risk related projects/functions

 
Knowledge of standard Risk Management&#92;Control frameworks including COSO,
COBIT, ITIL and regulatory guidelines including OCC, FFIEC, and CFPB

 
Knowledge of key financial services regulations such as Basel II, SOX,
GLBA

 
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; facilitation, and
collaborations skills

 
Track record of delivering complex process re-engineering projects

 
Track record of interfacing with and presenting results to Senior
Management

 
Track record of operationalizing risk management programs and practices

 
Track record of process/ control integration and risk management
reporting

 
Track record of developing incident response processes and protocols

 
Strong understanding of Key Risk Indicators (KRI) including the
application of KRI to establish risk thresholds

 
Ability to quantify risk appetite in a manner that influences business
decisions on whether to outsource to a Third Party

 
Ability to determine how the monitoring of various KRI can indicate when
risk appetite thresholds set against a Third Party have been breached

 
Strong understanding of Third Party Management and oversight

 
Excellent follow-up skills and attention to detail

 
Strong team-orientation and interpersonal skills

 
Proven ability to work independently and effectively in a complex
environment with multi-location team structure

 
Proven ability to articulate complex risk management topics,
