Job Description

FRONT END ARCHITECT

* This is a technical position for a developer to prototype and
implement the use of new technologies for investors and their
advisors.**
* Minimum experience 6-8 years of full time work as a developer in a
UNIX/Linux environment focusing on Java and Web or Mobile development**
* Must have hands-on ability to develop in a full stack of distributed
system components with an emphasis on front-end implementation for
web-based systems using a common stack
o Web-tier development skills (HTML5, Java, JavaScript, JavaScript
libraries and experience with open source)**
o Mobile development skills a big plus**
o Apache and Tomcat**
o Open source libraries such as Spring **
o Scripting (PHP, etc.)**
o Oracle or proprietary back end**
* Senior technical thinking abilities: able to properly design
multi-platform systems with architectural skills**
* Able to design resilient, well performing systems and able to
performance tune**
* Able to learn new technologies quickly**
* Must demonstrate ability to lead the technical design, development
and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform distributed
application systems. **
* Able to code and test new technology independently with minimal
supervision**
* Good product and visual design skills -- able to envision and create
user interfaces and wireframes**
* Understand existing technology and how it is used to help propose
ways that new technology can help**
* Well organized **
* Comfortable in both agile and waterfall methodologies**
* A passion for staying abreast of new technologies. **
* Must be easily understandable and succinct, especially on the phone**
* Must be willing to work with offshore team, including schedule
flexibility**
* Evidence of tangible accomplishments**
