With the holidays upon us, andmany of us visiting friends and family, listed below are the remaining networkingevents for 2013. In addition, as aspecial treat, also included is a sneak peak of the upcoming January 2014 NetworkingEvents.
All meetings are open to thepublic, plus you are welcome and strongly encouraged to attend. Try going to atleast one or two meetings a week, what you learn there will definitely helpshorten your time in transition. Also, many of these groups convene in theevening, so it will not take time away from your daily job search activities
Think of these meetings asopportunities, sort of like going to school, to learn something that can reduceyour time in transition by gaining knowledge in job search and interviewingskills needed to excel and standout from your competition.
In traveling to these meetings,consider car pooling. Not only will it reduce the cost of driving there, butthe friendly conversation will make the ride seem to go much faster.

Description:
Aequor seeks a Business Analyst to join our growing Life Science
Practice. The first project the Analyst will be involbverd withj will
begin in early 1Q. This is initially a scoping exercise to finalize the
project scope and development of a capital appropriation request for a
project to replace the client's our legacy Study Express system.
The old system is used to track and process Investigator Initiated
research proposals ( and some other studies). These proposals are
generally study concepts for projects to be done by outside physicians,
not contracted by the client to perform studies. They are independent
researchers, but the client must approve the proposals in order to
supply drugs for the study. As this is a global system, most of these
proposals come from the country organizations. The system is
administered by our global organization in the US, but there will be
some contact with the country organizations, as they may be interested
in using other system functions.
The client will most likely be implementing a software package for
this project, called InSite. It has been working with the vendor already
and has had several demos. The system is being used currently by the
client US country organization. There will be additional
functionality aside from the research proposal processing.
The business analyst should have very strong analytic, communication and
organizational skillsets. They will work with the client's global team
in medical affairs, its Project Management Office, and the software
vendor. There may be contact with senior management. The
PMO/documentation requirements are quite stringent, and much importance
is placed on attention to detail.
This engagement will be about 2-3 months, but if the candidate is
strong enough, may be retained to act as project manager for the
implementation phases, which will last through the remainder of 2014.
The candidate should have a good solid understanding of the clinical
process, and knowledge of medical affairs and investigator proposal
processes would be a plus.
