The
Oracle e_Business Programmer's role is to assist in the implementation and/or
support of ERP applications. This position will add value by understanding ERP
and how systems work, and how to implement setup and support the software to
maximize business processes. This position is responsible for participating in
business process design, providing support to business operations through
software configuration and development. This includes working with users to
translate business requirements into development specifications, conducting
required development or modifications, report writing development, and the maintenance
of interfaces.
 
Knowledge/Skills Required:
·         Must
have extensive knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite functionality in the areas
of Order Management, Pricing, Inventory, Cost, Purchasing, AP, AR and GL (11.5.10 or higher) to be considered for
this position
·         Experience
as Oracle Techno-Functional professional with six plus years of hands-on
working experience in Oracle EBS 11i modules /R12 with at least 2 years of
experience
·         Expert
skills & 6+ years' experience in
the areas of Oracle Sqlplus, TOAD, XML Publisher, PL/Sql procedures and packages,
Reports & Form Builder and Discoverer administration
·         3+ years' experience with Unix
Shell scripts and FTP commands
·         Good
understanding of Oracle EBS Table structure and architecture 
·         6+ years of PL/SQL development experience on business
applications systems specifically in the area of Oracle Financials,
Distribution, Supply Chain, Order Management and Sales applications
·         Research
issues using My Oracle Support (Metalink) and other resources. Work with Oracle
Support by logging SR's and using the escalation process if necessary to
resolve problems. 
·         Experience
upgrading Oracle 11i EBS modules to R12 preferred.
·         EDI
transaction and process relative to the Oracle Applications

·         Experience
in Oracle ASCP/DEMANDRA (R12), Oracle BI and Portals preferred.
·         Knowledge
of MS office suite of products including Word, Excel, and Access
·         Maintains system documentation by writing and updating
procedures (MD70,MD50).
·         Provide
day-to-day production support for all Oracle modules and customizations.
·         Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end user
reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementations support.
·         Participate in the Oracle R12 Upgrade

Try going to at least one or two meetings a week, what you learnthere will definitely help shorten your time in transition. Also, many of thesegroups convene in the evening, so it will not take time away from your dailyjob search activities.

Think of these meetings as opportunities, sort of like going toschool, to learn something that can reduce your time in transition by gainingknowledge in job search and interviewing skills needed to excel and standoutfrom your competition.

In traveling to these meetings, consider car pooling. Not onlywill it reduce the cost of driving there, but the friendly conversation willmake the ride seem to go much faster.

Also, in the event of inclement weather, please check with themeeting organizer if the presentation will be canceled or postponed beforetraveling there. Your safety is important. Please rely on your best judgment before venturing out on slipperyroads.

Individuals givea 15 second elevator speech about themselves -- who you are, what you arelooking for, target companies (2-3), how the group can help you, and how youcan help the group. This is followed by a short period for networking withpeople you would like to introduce yourself to and exchange business cards. Thegroup then divides into smaller teams for: 1) Resume Assistance, (Please bring15 copies of your resume if you want it reviewed.) or 2) Support in OvercomingJob Search Obstacles. This includes: A) Small group advice for individuals whohave hit the wall and need help to reinvigorate their job search, or B) Largegroup discussion on various job search related topics. Saturday, May 17thfrom 1:00 - 2:30 pm: The New York Science, Industry and Business Librarywill host Win Sheffield, a careercoach, who will give a presentation titled: Making Your Resume Work For You. Our resumes are given the impossible task ofconveying our entire experience and value. In many circumstances it is the onlyway people know us. Career coach, Win Sheffield will illustrate simpletechniques to develop a resume in which you can have confidence. You will learnhow to: 1) Develop perspective on the role and ways to use your resume, 2) Dealwith specific resume issues that can cloud your professional message, and 3) Consideralternatives to using the resume in the right circumstance. On Tuesday evening, May 13th, MIS Network Associates
(MNA), Association of Women in Computing (AWC), IT-Networking, the ETP Network,
TENG, The Breakfast Club of NJ (TBCNJ), Monmouth Networking, and Careers In
Transition (CIT) will host a combined dinner meeting for members, alumni,
friends, and guests at The Holiday Inn in Totowa, NJ. Mike Palestina will
discuss verbal and non-verbal communication in your day-to-day personal and
professional lives and in your campaign to get connected.

The informal networking groups are so helpful in networking that
we will do the "speed dating" again on May 13thbefore we sit down for dinner and the general
introductions.  Briefly, these informal "dates" consist of up to 4 people
and last for 5 to 10 minutes.  At the end of the 10 minutes, the groups
break up and new ones are formed with different participants. Suggested
dialogues for your "speed dating" encounters will be provided at the
registration desk in case you are at a loss for what to say during these
conversations.
 
There will be an opportunity to circulate up to 40 copies of your
resume, personal bio, leads, or other appropriate material in a handout for
each participant from the dinner.
 
The cost will be $45 for everyone if forwarded by mail or other to
John Sampson by COB Monday, May 12th at 2 Blackfoot Cir, Wayne NJ 07470. 
Checks should be made out to John Sampson who can be reached by phone at
973-248-3251 or via email at jcsspike@yahoo.com.  Reservations can also be made by
contacting Lizanne Fiorentino at lizanne@ignitetheflame.com  but checks
must be sent directly to John. 
 
An initial list of attendees will be emailed to all the RSVPs,
members of MNA and AWC, the ETP Network, TENG, The Breakfast Club of NJ,
Monmouth Ntwkg, IT-Net, CIT and other interested parties the weekend of May
10/11 for initial review and correction.  The RSVP list will facilitate
networking at the May 13th event and can be used to communicate with attendees
in advance or after the dinner meeting. For those attendees who are working,
current work affiliation, email address, three previous companies you've worked
for/consulted at, professional job interest or position availability must be
included in your RSVP.
 
For those attendees who are in transition, three target companies
should be included in your RSVP as well as the type of position you seek.
 
A "final" numbered RSVP list of attendees will be available along
with the pre-published questions and an ID badge at the registration desk on
the 13th.  Your number on the final RSVP list
should be part of your introduction:  "I'm number x on the RSVP list …".
All attendees should have their sharp, crisp, 15 second elevator speech at the
ready.  Too many "ahs, dees and doeses" will be cut off unceremoniously.
Remember, you and your introduction will be between the rest of the attendees
and dinner!
 
A final RSVP list of the actual attendees will be emailed to
everyone who participated by
May 20th.
 
We will accept a LIMITED number of walk-ins on the 13th. 
Anyone who attends on the 13thand whose check has not
been received by COB on the 12th will be charged $60 WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
There will be NO refunds and no shows WILL be billed.
 
Again, bring 40 copies of your bio/resume, leads, or materials you
wish to be included in the handout the evening of May 13th.
