Job Summary The Production Planner is a key member in developing and executing production plans for new product launches. This position co-ordinates with product development, process engineering, marketing and operations to understand product launch requirements, validation plans,bottle necks, critical path etc. In addition, this position is responsible for reviewing forecast, lead times, and, develop plans to release work orders in the facility to execute to the project plan. The production planner tracks work orders and provides weekly updates to project team regarding build status. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities 
* Evaluate and plan using all elements of Master Production Schedule (MPS) and/or Kanban system to derive proper finished goods stock level for each item assigned. 
* Evaluate and plan using all elements of the Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and/or Kanban system to generate all material requirements to support product plans. 
* Plan production levels for items assigned based on forecasts, demand (sales), production availability, material availability, inventory requirements, and release work orders to manufacturing based on plans. 
* Plan and release purchase requisitions to purchasing based on requirements and inventory levels of materials required. 
* Measure performance to plans of the above items and report results to appropriate management. 
* Assist in the setup and maintenance of Kanbans for finished goods, raw materials, or subassemblies. 
* Assist in building detailed plans for introduction for new products into product line. 
* Provide backup clerical support for the raw material warehouse positions and co-planner. 
* Assist and participate in all cycle count and inventory counting programs and practices. 

Expected Areas of Competence 
* Thorough knowledge of standard MRP and MPS systems, Kanban and Just-In-Time experience required. 
* Personal computer skills, especially with desk top applications are required. 
* Must be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings and specifications. 
* Working knowledge of planning and systems; knowledge of accounting principles and budgeting practices; proficiency with personal computers and software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access and Word); effective analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required. 

Education/Experience Requirements 
* Bachelor's degree in Logistics / Supply Chain / Industrial Engineering or related field required. 
* 0-3 years of planning experience required or experience in related skill field (finance, accounting, supply/inventory management) 
* APICS certification a plus

The Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) works independently and is responsible for the overall performance, stability, reliability and scalability of enterprise-wide internet-facing systems; ensures 's complex, web-scale systems are healthy, monitored, automated, and designed to scale.
