I hope this note finds you well.  Have a question.  I am conducting a search for an Office Manager position in NY for a high end private medical practice.  Am considering someone with an HR background, who is also familiar with basic finance concepts and some marketing.  Would you be open to posting for the Whine and Dine group to see?

SuccessfulDermatologist seeks Office Manager forupscale, boutique Fifth Avenue start-up.   An exciting transformation is under way—(1) growth, (2) branddevelopment and (3) the implementation of a formalized culture of refinedconcierge level patient care and service is being integrated into the practice.  Future success hinges on each team memberbeing aligned with the Practice culture and values to optimize synergy andseamlessness in operations. 

 
This is amulti-tiered role with Operations, Marketing and Finance components.  You will be the "right hand" to the physician,(1) managing the practice day-to-day, (2) contributing to business growth, and(3) championing a unified culture that can focus on goals, minimize businessdisruption and maximize commitment to drive success.     Responsibilities include:

 
·       Accountability for managing all administrative,financial, clerical and maintenance matters, including delegating bookkeeping,collections, insurance, claim filing, medical transcription, records,appointment scheduling, x-ray and lab activities, daily bank deposits, etc.

·       Managing small staff (3 with possibility ofexpansion) and processes of practice; overseeing employee relations,performance management, employee development, talent acquisition, prioritizingand delegating tasks/responsibilities, attendance, projects, etc.

·       Manage marketing of Practice on social mediaplatforms including FaceBook, Twitter, Google, etc.

·       Delegating, prioritizing and supervising stafftasks/responsibilities

·       Developing ideas, strategies and/or techniquesto upsell and help grow aesthetics practice

·       Organizing and scheduling events, seminar,conferences, etc.

·       Ensuring compliance with office policies andprocedures

·       Managing records and reporting in accordancewith legal and medical requirements

·       Keeping Doctor apprised of all people andpractice activity

·       Personal support, as needed

 
The idealcandidate has 5+ years of experience successfully managing a smallbusiness/practice (not necessarily medical) or has equivalent corporateexperience in a role where service, effective management and problem solvingare crucial to success.    You requireminimal supervision once familiar with workplace operations and are comfortabletaking initiative.  Your commitment tothe success of the business enables you to see beyond the day-to-day to focuson the big picture.  You can comfortablyjuggle priorities and have a friendly and outgoing demeanor.
