My Southwestern Connecticut client, in the product distribution sector, is
looking to hire a Manager, Supply Chain/Production with considerable
experience in product production. This position is responsible for
logistics and procurement –including: quoting (working with purchasing),
sourcing, inventory and quality control and delivery of all new products. This
will require strong attention to detail and follow-up. Imperative to
success is accuracy through the manufacturing process, finished production
quality, schedule integrity, and maximum cost efficiency.
The right person will be a strong advocate for the company. This position
will – from start to finish focus on coordinating, handling and
facilitating all new product format queries, and specs, source for optimal
cost and quality efficiency, interface with the company's art department
and externally with manufacturers, learn the company's specifications on
packing and shipping products for best use of racks and space, work with
the Distribution Center for packing products internally, communicate by
Skype with China when necessary; review, approve, and sign-off on related
purchase orders; interface with an industrial designer. This position will
involve travel to manufacturers for face-to-face meetings, periodically,
domestically and at last twice a year internationally. Requirements for
this position include: 10+ years manufacturing product production and
sourcing experience; 5 years supervisory experience; industry experience in
printing would be a plus; prior experience working with an industrial
designer is a plus; proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (required).
The right person for this position will be: adaptable/nimble – able to wear
multiple hats and prioritize; have the ability to trouble shoot – problem
solve; an analytical mindset; have strong communication (verbal and
written) skills and superior organizational, and time management skills; be
a team player, negotiator/deal maker, and detailed record keeper; have a
commitment to deadlines – goal oriented, a strong work ethic, and a high
level of integrity.

POSITION:  Chief Marketing Officer / SVP of Marketing (title depends upon experience). 
COMPANY:  Company revenues grew 80% last year and 70% the previous year.  They have a strong presence in Europe and the U.S.   After recently closing their Series B with strategic investors, they are expanding into Asia and want to rebrand the whole company with new logos, new collateral, new website…everything!  Need to hire a new person asap to head it all up and rebrand the company.  Company will be launching a new product in the cloud that will need a whole new website to onboard people and it should be branded separately from the rest of the company since it will be a pure SaaS model.  There is a lot to be done around the rebranding.  The day to day tactical will be a lot of work.  They already have a good group of people on their team and they outsource to some contractors in Italy, France and Germany.  They will be doing the same for China.   This is a very exciting time for a new marketing person who is passionate and creative about rebranding. 
LOCATION:  Prefer candidates that live within commuting distance to San Francisco Bay area, New York City or Miami.   However, depending upon candidate, our client would consider someone who works remotely too.  Must be flexible to travel as much as necessary to all the major cities for the fashion industry including New York City, London, Munich, Paris, Barcelona and Shanghai.  You will be responsible for holding seminars in the best hotels, in the best cities for the top fashion designers. Need someone who is very articulate and comfortable with public speaking.  Must have significant European marketing experience.  Any marketing experience in Asia would be a big plus.
COMPENSATION: Company is already generating significant revenues and profits.  The focus is on hiring the very best candidate.  This is a key position.   Compensation includes base, bonus, and equity.  Plus, full benefits package that includes health, life, dental, 401k, etc.  However, the Board is willing and able to put together the right package for the right candidate.
MANAGEMENT STYLE: Position reports to the CEO.  He believes in hiring the best people, then providing them with clear incentives and responsibilities.  Focus is on results.  He believes in trust and likes to debate and encourage.  He is very marketing focused, progressed in his career on the marketing side before becoming CEO.  You will have a lot of latitude at the tactical level and you will need a lot of creativity.  The CEO wants someone who is extremely creative.  It is very valuable to him.   This is a management position.  You will be part of the core executive team that includes the CEO.  However, need someone that can be very hands-on, roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes to achieve goals while building the marketing team.  Need someone that is very strategic and motivated.  Need someone who can have a big impact making sure the company's goals are achieved.  Someone who leaves the ego at the door.  Need someone that knows how to work smart. 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 
- Must have a passion for fashion.  
- Must be able to personally deliver outstanding presentations at key meetings and business conferences to top designers in the fashion industry. Must have experience developing brand collateral materials, speeches, PowerPoint presentations and all other support materials, online and offline, geared toward the needs of specific opportunities and audiences. Must be eager and able to build crisp, compelling presentations.   
- Must be flexible to travel as much as necessary to all the major cities for the fashion industry including New York City, London, Munich, Paris, Barcelona and Shanghai.  You will be responsible for holding seminars in the best hotels, in the best cities for the top fashion designers. - Must have someone who can build and lead a top grade marketing team.  Someone who can ensure that the team has the best possible talent (A players) at each level. Structure comp & incentive plans. Coach and keep top talent and remove non-performers efficiently.   
- Must have recent and significant experience marketing consumer products.  
- Must have significant enterprise software and/or SaaS experience.  Need to have experience launching enterprise software products and new releases.  Need to know the language around software since it is so value based.  
- Need someone who enjoys the entrepreneurial atmosphere of a fast growing company and has been through the experience of scaling up an enterprise to significant organization size and revenues.  Prefer someone with experience doing an IPO road show.
