*14-08666 Job Title: SAP Project Manager (onsite)*
*Location: Boston, MA*
*Duration: 6+ Months (Extendable)*

*The Opportunity*

- We currently have a vacancy for an experienced *Project Manager to
manage some projects within SAP.*
- As an *SAP Project Manager *you must be an established project manager
with a proven track record in all aspects of delivery from small
development bug fixes to large scale system improvements.
- A Project Manager must be expert in project planning, scheduling and
budget control with a strong emphasis on customer service and SLA
management.
- This is a collaborative role, where the SAP Project Manager will be
required to interface and engage with business teams (*SCM,
Finance), *technical
support and functional groups including QA, Engineering operations,
Technology groups and other systems owners, from project inception to
closure.
- The SAP Project Manager will be required to oversee and guide the work
tasks and deliverables of these internal Business functional and Technical
groups and potentially that of 3rd party vendors.
- This is a hands on role where you will manage projects through the
full software development lifecycle and carefully monitoring and
controlling through each of the phases from initiation to closure.

*Duties & Responsibilities *
- Drive and direct your assigned SAP projects and associated teams to
delivery.
- Acts on behalf of the business sponsor to ensure successful completion
of selected projects.
- Ensure project objectives are met within the constraints of project
scope, time, cost and required quality.
- Work closely with Business teams and SAP functional and technical
experts to define project scope and all required deliverables, activities,
activity sequence, *Work Break-down Structure (WBS)* and work estimates
to create a framework for the project schedule.
- End to end project planning including Schedule Development, Resource
Planning, Cost Estimating, Budgeting utilizing all internal project
management tools.
- Coordinating and communication with project resources including 3rd
party SAP Consultants, internal team, stakeholders and vendors on all
aspects of project progression/status
- Measuring progress and monitoring performance (overall, scope,
schedule, costs, quality)
- Proactively manage project stakeholder satisfaction to position and
secure customer reference and success story.
- Coaching & Mentoring
- Risk Management including issue escalation and resolution.
- Adhering to and following the organizational project management
processes and integrated Change Control Process
- Ensuring management of all aspects of the project and maintaining up
to date RAID list and meeting mins.
- Post Project Implementation review to document lessons learned.

*Skills and Experience:*
*Essential*
- Bachelors Degree educated in Engineering, Computer Science,
Information Systems or Business.
- 6 years + experience in a *SAP implementation or SAP Development or
enhancement project management role, (or similar ERP system) *preferably
in a fast paced delivery environment.
- Exceptional proficiency in communication and relationship management
and ability to drive the project through completion of each phase, ensuring
all deliverables and outlook is understood by all concerned, business
stakeholders in particular.
- A driven self-Starter who brings a lot of energy to work and enjoys
the cut and thrust of a rapidly changing environment
- Project Management Tools proficiency (i.e. Ms Project, Visio etc)
- Proficient understanding of SAP solutions and Experience in managing
multiple projects concurrently
- Extensive hands-on experience in producing and maintaining project
deliverables such as, project charter, project management plan, project WBS
and schedule creation, status reports, project resource planning,
communications plan, estimating, budget maintenance and schedule.
- Experience working with and ability to "gel well with Technical Teams
and leads
- Ability to work with and manage 3rd party vendors
- Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity
and change.
Ability to negotiate consensus amongst diverse groups and impact the
activities of others not in own reporting structure.
- Conceptual analytical thinking and decision making skills.
- Strong interpersonal and social skills; the ability to work well with
people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical
experience; competence in clear concise and tactful communication with
senior management, clients, peers and team members.
- Experience in delivering in a multi vendor environment
- Experience with on shore off shore delivery models
- Demonstrated experience in teambuilding and leading teams.
- Demonstrated experience in managing issues, scope and quality while
bring projects to successful completion within the cost and time
requirements.

*Highly Desirable*
- Analytical Skills with ability to truly understand the full scope and
impact of the project requirements
- Experience with Project Managing using a highly iterative and/or agile
methodology
- Customer service orientation with ability to manage relationships with
internal customers
- Ability to drive consensus among various internal stakeholders,
including executive management and third parties
- Risk and issue management to all levels in the organization.
- Extensive experience in project reporting including executive level
briefing
- Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
- High degree of business acumen

*Desirable but replaceable by experience *
- Some form of *Project Management Certification*.
- Experience in Technology support of the end to end *supply chain (OTC)*
- Software subscription transaction handling
