Position Summary:

This individual will be responsible for leading a Windows desktop
engineering team. The responsibilities include designing and managing large
infrastructure migrations, evaluating new technologies, engineering desktop
solutions and providing L3 support. In this role, this individual will
assist project managers in the planning and technical direction of projects,
working with the developers, architects and end users to implement product
solutions to meet the business requirements.

This role engages directly with traders and other investment professionals
in support of their investment processes. This individual will think
strategically and provide robust technology solutions for fixed income
traders in the office, offsite and while mobile. Ensuring quick and
efficient resolution of technology related problems is critical as is a high
degree of technical knowledge and expertise.

Responsibilities:

* Work closely with desktop support, trading support and business
groups to gather requirements, analyze workflows and design solutions that
adhere to security protocols and meet the business needs.

* Collaborate with the desktop engineering, architecture,
application support, QA Testers, Information Security, Infrastructure and
Management teams when evaluating and recommending new hardware and software
technologies.

* Utilize various desktop and application monitoring tools to
detect and prevent issues before they occur.

* Provide functional and technical written evaluations of products,
operating system upgrades and patches.

* Ensure that desktop standards are understood and followed by
stake holders and team members.

* Collaborate with infrastructure, architecture and development
teams to provide implementation blueprints, industry best practices and
vendor product guidelines.

* Develop necessary project plans for hardware lifecycle, software,
BIOS and driver upgrades, including installation and testing.

* Develop and maintain high standards in establishing policies and
procedures to address routine maintenance protocols, ensuring that all are
clearly documented for testing and validation.

* Provide Level III support and resolution, identifying root cause
with strategic solutions to problems. Escalate to the Business Application
and/or Operations teams as necessary.

* Meet or exceed SLA obligations consistently and on an ongoing
basis, allow for accurate metrics to measure response time, meet BCP
requirements for offsite access, and reduce the time needed to address
hardware/software failures.

* Prioritize work efforts, multi-task in a very fast-paced
environment, and provide clear and timely updates

* Understand technology limitations and interactions to ensure
supportability of any proposed solutions.

Required Skills and Competencies:

At least seven years in a lead engineering role supporting investment
professionals

Experience in:

* Desktop support and troubleshooting

* Computer networking (Ethernet, TCP/IP, DHCP, WANS, etc.)

* Operating systems (Windows, Mac, etc.)

* Network & Application monitoring/management systems and
technologies

* Networking (TCP/IP, Routing, Troubleshooting, DNS, VPN, etc.)

* Financial Applications and Terminology

* Extensive experience implementing VDI technology with VMware and
Citrix platforms.

* Experience with Active Directory configurations related to group
policy management

* Must be self-starter possessing drive and ability to work with
minimal supervision

* Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive consensus
across numerous teams to implement chosen technology solutions

* Ability to prioritize tasks in high pressure situations, and
manage conflicting priorities effectively

* Attention to detail

* Ability to perform research and share knowledge across various
teams

* Extensive knowledge of Microsoft product suite.

* Microsoft MCSA in Windows 7 certification desired

* VMware Advanced Professional 5 - Data Center Administration
certification preferred

* Degree in one of the following concentrations; Computer
Information Systems, Management Information Systems or Computer Science.

The Fixed Income Quant Systems Team is responsible for providing advanced
quantitative tools such as analytic calculators, risk models, cash flow
engines, liquidity evaluation frameworks, technical pattern modeling, and
asset allocation strategies to the firm's portfolio management and research
teams. Members of the team play critical roles in firm's success by
