Position - Summary

Due to growth, my client is currently looking for an experienced Hyperion
Solutions Architect to join their Services Delivery team. My client is
seeking results-driven, entrepreneurial thinkers who prioritize character,
integrity and excellence. Specifically, they are looking for someone who
has strong background and experience leading, architecting and delivering
Hyperion EPM solutions. The Hyperion Solutions Architect will be involved
in all phases of a project, including requirements gathering and
documentation, technology evaluation, solution design and implementation,
testing and validation, and user training and acceptance. The Hyperion
Solutions Architect will assist and guide the project team while assisting
with hands tasks. In addition to client work, the Hyperion Solution
Architect will participate and lead "firm building" initiatives and
activities that contribute to growth of the firm and their people.

Reports to an Engagement/Project Manager

Desired Skills and Competencies:

* 5-8 years of relational or multi-dimensional database experience

* Experience with financial planning and reporting processes and
working with planning, consolidation, and financial reporting applications

* Experience with Oracle Applications including Hyperion Planning,
Hyperion Essbase, Financial Reporting, ODI, FDM, SmartView, and general
Hyperion administration

* Knowledge of programming languages and relational database
concepts and design, Oracle and/or SQL Server, a plus

* Solid understanding of finance and accounting concepts, financial
reporting and/or performance management processes

* Experience designing/developing integrated
planning/reporting/business intelligence solutions

* Understanding of source system requirements, including
transactional systems, business queries and business analytics

* Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to work
with all levels of business and IT management

* Installing and configuring software & hardware, implementing
backup & recovery procedures, as well as conducting performance-tuning tests

* Ability to communicate effectively with various user groups -
excellent written and oral communication skills, including being able to
translate complex technical terminology, concepts and issues in terms
understandable to technical and non-technical management and resource staff

* BA or BS in computer science, MIS, math, engineering,
accounting/finance or related field

* Managing/leading a project team

* Able and willing to travel - Estimate 50-60% Travel Nationally -
Primarily New England Area

Other Qualifications:

* Preference would be for someone out of a consulting, software or
professional service's firm

* Excellent interpersonal skills and business etiquette

* Ability to quickly learn complex concepts & methodologies

* Excellent communication via email, phone, or in-person

* Person of integrity

* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and
have excellent relationship management skills

* Accepts responsibility, proactively problem-solves and goes the
extra mile to ensure deadlines are met

correlated sub queries, analytic functions

* Ability to implement ETL concepts using native database utilities
and third-party tools (ODI, Talend, SSIS, Informatica, SQL*Loader, Custom PL
SQL packages)

* Experience extracting data from a variety of data storage media
including relational databases, web services, LDAP querying and a variety of
flat file structures

* Strong problem solving skills; strong multi-tasking skills

* Understanding of the best-practices in concepts such as change
data capture and master data management

* Understanding of transactional system architectures

* Ability to communicate effectively with various user groups -
excellent written and oral communication skills

* Ability to translate technical solution designs into tangible
benefits for the business

* Proven ability to apply industry best practices around data
warehousing standards

* Experience in leading data integration and enterprise performance
management projects are preferred

* Able and willing to travel - Estimate 50-60% Travel Nationally -
Primarily New England Area

* Must be eligible to legally work in the United States
