*Roles and Responsibilities:*

Help design & deliver our strategy to automate the build &
deployment process of our Windows infrastructure
-
Work closely with our internal Windows engineering & support teams
to ensure consistent usage of firm-approved, secure OS builds.
-
Collaborate with our internal teams to leverage automation
solutions and/or implement utilities/tools to minimize manual labor
and duplication, while meeting industry best practices.
-
Establish and document best practices for the ABB DevOps team to
configure, tune, troubleshoot and generally administer our Windows/IIS
platform, with a focus on automation.
-
Fine-tune performance and security of ABB Windows and IIS servers
to optimize the balance between the two.
-
Perform tech refreshes as required, including required mass patches
or upgrades of the Windows OS, IIS and other elements of the
infrastructure stack.
-
Work with internal teams to manage the security patching process to
eliminate down time.
-
Creating reports for infrastructure metrics, such as capacity,
performance and security.
-
Enhance existing monitoring systems for our environments to ensure
the DevOps team is notified when a server or IIS instance is
experiencing an issue.
-
Assist in the troubleshooting of applications issues where
underlying infrastructure is implicated.
*Skills:*
-
5+ years of demonstrated experience in the efficient support,
configuration, optimization and automation of large and complex
Windows Server / IIS environments.
-
Multi-year experience in working with .NET application development
teams and a depth of understanding in the architecture and dynamics of
IIS-hosted applications.
-
Evidence of extensive and successful automation of infrastructure
management/support activities.
-
A technical degree, preferably in Computer Science or an
engineering discipline.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
*Must Have:*
-
Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments, including, 2008
R2, 2012, 2012 R2.
- Strong Experience with Powershell / VB
- Strong knowledge of IIS
-
Moderate understanding of networking technologies (subnetting,
routing, DHCP, DNS, etc.)
- Moderate experience with monitoring (e.g. Nagios)
- Experience with Puppet
- Experience with System Center 2012 Configuration Manager
- Experience implementing and configuring Active Directory

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server including creating adhoc DB queries
-
Experience troubleshooting server related I/O, CPU, Memory, Disk
performance issues
- Basic database knowledge (SQL)
- Experience with VMWare, Hyper-V or other virtualization technology
*Helpful to Have:*
- Basic Unix scripting techniques (e.g. Bash, Perl, Python )
- Experience with Linux Server environments (e.g RHEL, CentOS)

Experience with cloud computing environments, such as Amazon Web
Services or Azure
- Database Administration experience in SQL server
