Bill explains

Thispresentation will cover a number of strategies to consider to help withcash flow during a career transition.  The focus will be on thosestrategies that may not be well known or understood.  Topics willinclude:  Medical Insurance through the Affordable Care Act, taximplications of 401k/403b rollovers and withdrawals, taxdeductibility of job hunting expenses, strategies to takeadvantage of lower marginal tax rates during a transition andpotential adjustments to financial aid.

BillLaChance is an independent financial advisor based in Chatham NJ. Bill offers a unique flat fee program and focuses his practicethose going through or contemplating a career transition. Prior tolaunching his financial planning practice, Bill spent twenty two years incorporate finance in the retail industry and before that was a CPA with alarge accounting firm.   Bill has a B.S. in Accounting from BryantUniversity, an MBA in Finance from Indiana University and completed theFinancial Planning Certificate program at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Bill is also an Enrolled Agent authorized to represent taxpayersbefore the IRS and provides tax consulting and preparationservices.

7:30 to8:00 –Registration &Open Networking

8:00 to8:15 - Welcome and housekeeping

8:15 to9:15 – Presentation by the guest speaker – Limited to 60 minutes

9:15 to10:15 - Elevator Pitch - 30 Seconds about yourself, who you are, what you arelooking for, target companies (3-4), how we can help you, how you can helpothers.  Follow the rule of the Three B's of Public Speaking: Beinformative; Be brief; Be seated.

10:15until  you choose to leave  -  Open Networking, follow up withpeople you are interested in meeting following their elevator pitch, exchangebusiness cards, peruse the library, arrange follow up meetings, etc.

1 -Make sure you come with the 30 second elevator pitch - honed - including yourtargeted companies, your value proposition, etc.
