Job #1 - PAY $50 - $55/hr

Project Manager, Information Technology Project Management
Office/Parsippany, NJ

This position will be responsible for the management of select projects
within information technology, through the application of IT PMO tools and
techniques. The Project Manager manages resources, scope, and time
throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager guides the project
team from business needs and project objectives to identify and refine
requirements, and ultimately through the development and maintenance of the
project management plan. The ideal candidate must have significant project
and analyst experience across multiple business functions, along with
excellent organizational and communication skills. It will be necessary to
build and maintain multiple relationships between the Business organization
and within the IT organization in order to understand the customer needs,
identify requirements, and execute successfully.

Requirements

* Plans, schedules, coordinates, organizes and leads all aspects of
project management. Provides focus and tactical direction, and manage
execution of projects assigned to the PMO, which may have a global
component.
* Leads one or more project teams; allocating and monitoring tasks,
motivating staff and providing appraisal feedback on individual performance.
Applies project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques in
supporting project managers to drive the development and application of
project management methodology.
* Develops and maintains core deliverables, including but not limited
to Status Reports, Charter, Schedules, and other key stakeholder
presentations/communication.
* Ensures that realistic project, quality, and risk plans are prepared
and maintained for projects. Monitors and controls team performance against
plans. Responsible for effective financial and project progress forecasting,
and reports as appropriate. Tracks project issues, performance, and
progress for reporting to the PMO Director.
* Acts as a point of escalation to address projects with variances
from scope, customer satisfaction issues and other issues including concerns
across business functions.
* Manages change and promotes the continuous improvement of project
management related processes through improved/enhanced methodologies.
Collaborates with PMO Leadership to enhance the SDLC methodology and
templates for project execution.
* Guides and coaches the best practices and project management
processes to customers and IT team members outside the PMO.

Experience

* Experience with server upgrade projects (AIX, Linux)
* Experience managing both application development and infrastructure
projects
* Experience and understanding of MQ Series, Midrange and connectivity
to legacy systems, environment management and associated technologies,
knowledge of virtualization practices, and application development change
management
* Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business or Computer Science, or
similar
* Experience in the project team environment, preferable as a project
manager, or at least at the lead level, whether functional or technical
* Proven analyst skills spanning business functions and applications
* Full lifecycle solution development, from requirements gathering
through build, test, deploy, and support
* Experience in multiple technology domains, (networks, telephony,
servers, storage, middleware, security, messaging, data bases, applications,
security, etc.)
* Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships
* Experience in Retail and/or Consumer Product Goods
* Strong organizational, leadership, problem solving and influencing
skills
* Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication
* Sensitivity to the multi-cultural characteristics of a global IT
organization
* 7-10 years experience working as a business or IT analyst
* 5+ years project management or team experience
* Proficient in MS Office including Visio, MS Project, SharePoint
* ITIL certification a plus

* PMI certification a plus

Project Specific Requirements:

Overview

Client is currently seeking a Network Project Coordinator in the Parsippany,
NJ location. This position will be responsible for the coordination of
select network operations projects within information technology, through
the IT PMO tools and techniques. The Project coordinator manages resources,
scope, and time throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Coordinator
is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling non-capital project
activities, under the direction of the Network Services Director.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

. Track all department tasks, incidents, unplanned activities (i.e. ARB
requests) and non-capital projects.

. Attend meetings as required and assist with determination of requirements,
ownerships, due dates and ensure completion.

. Prepare team status reports and metrics

. Facilitate department meetings and distribute minutes to all team members
via One Note and post on SharePoint.

. Track the progress and quality of work being performed

. Use scheduling and control tools to monitor plans, work hours, budgets and
expenditures

. Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the
Network Services Team

. Track Contracts, Letters of Intent, Purchase Orders, etc.

. Maintain Contract Execution Tracking Log

. Keep the Network Service's Director and others informed about status and
issues that may impact client relations

. Follow PMO processes and procedures

Qualifications

To be qualified for this position you must have a Bachelor's Degree,
preferably in Business or Computer Science, or similar, with experience in
the project team environment, as a project coordinator. Ideal candidates
must have 3 to 5 years' experience working as a in infrastructure operation
with 5+ years in project coordination. Proven analyst skills spanning
business functions and applications and knowledge of full lifecycle solution
development, from requirements gathering through build, test, deploy, and
support is required. Experience in infrastructure networks are required.

Qualified candidates must have the ability to build and maintain effective
partnerships with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication
skills. Strong organizational, leadership, problem solving and influencing
skills are required along with having sensitivity to the multi-cultural
characteristics of a global IT organization. S/He must be proficient in MS
Office including Visio, MS Project, SharePoint. Experience in Retail and/or
Consumer Product Goods is ideal.
