Position Responsibilities - Summary
The Investment Support team plays a critical role in the firm's success by
providing continuous support and solutions to the firm's globally located
investors across Asset Allocation, Commodities, Equity, Fixed Income, Macro
Analysis and Risk Management.
There is an opportunity for a strong Lead Systems Analyst to play a key role
in this large team, deliver solutions to our business partners, solve
complex problems, and generally act to ensure that service levels within
this area are maintained at a high level.
Responsibilities:
* Interact directly with investment professionals at all levels of
the organization as a trusted advisor.
* Proactively identify issues and opportunities for improved
methods and approaches to support investment processes.
* Answer functional and technical questions from business partners
and colleagues.
* Manage production incidents, determining root cause, appropriate
corrective actions, and follow-up.
* Respond to requests from our business for adhoc analysis as well
as other information delivery solutions.
* Provide guidance and supervision of junior members of the team as
well as onshore and offshore consultants.
* Design, support, improve, and develop data validation and
productivity tools and processes within this area.
Required Skills and Competencies:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics,
Finance or related subject
* 5+ year's business analysis or systems analysis experience in
financial statement analysis, investment management or financial services
environment.
* Analytical and problem solving skills in buy-side investment
management systems and data technologies. Excellent written and verbal
communications skills.
* Understanding of financial instruments such as stocks, bonds,
swaps, options, futures, forwards, derivatives and FX.
* Hands-on experience working directly with investment
professionals.
* Experience with advanced investment data concepts such as
holdings, transactions, security master, analytics, and performance.
* High attention to detail and strong commitment to delivering
quality, professional work is absolutely essential for this position.
* Intermediate level expertise with PL/SQL.
* Willingness and ability to work independently and as part of a
team, in a fast-paced, business-critical environment.
Keys to the Position:
* We are seeking a hands-on, technical support lead with excellent
communication and problem-solving skills
* Domain knowledge: Broad investment knowledge (equities, fixed
income, asset allocation. etc.).
* Leadership: Strong Leadership and delivery skills are required.
* This individual will interface directly with Investors so the
candidate must have strong communication skills.
* Strong Analyst skills are required.
* Technical skills: SQL is required to query the database.

Position Summary:
The Reference Data team is responsible for providing state of the art
reference market data capabilities to all the firm's areas including
Investment Teams. The team plays a critical role in our firm's success by
providing innovative solutions for highly complex and critical investment
decision-making process.
Responsibilities:
* Work closely with Reference Data Engineering and Business Analyst
teams to develop new and advance existing tools, involving both backend
processing engines and UI components.
* Ability to work independently with one or more business analysts
and team of consultants to deliver business solutions
* Partner with in-house application and data architects while
implementing systems requirements.
Required Skills and Competencies:
* 7+ years of experience as a Software Developer supporting large
application development life cycles
* Firm grasp of Object Oriented concepts and fundamental design
patterns with practical implications
* Demonstrated experience of Design and Development using Java
based technologies.
* In-depth knowledge and experience of the Spring Framework.
* Strong understanding and proven experience with technologies such
as RESTful web services, XML/XSLT, JSON are required.
* Strong understanding and experience of Messaging Framework esp.
using JMS
* Understanding and experience with building performance (Speed and
Accuracy) critical applications is required.
* Experience with web applications and JavaScript frameworks
including jQuery, Bootstrap, or Angular is desired.
* Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and
verbal are required.
* Must possess SQL tuning skills and working knowledge on Oracle or
similar database.
* Experience with AWS is a definite plus.
* Must be comfortable with test driven development and Continuous
Integration (JUnit, Jenkins, Code Coverage)
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
(Master's Degree is Preferred)
* Experience in Financial Industry is highly preferred
Keys to this Position:
1. Technical stack: Strong Java server side and front end development
skills.
2. We will look at any industry but we would like to see someone that has
the desire and aptitude to learn the investment domain.
3. Leadership skills: This role will start as a very senior individual
contributor but overtime will be asked to lead a team.
