Unix/Linux/C Software Consulting
Immediate openings for several C programmers to develop communications software on Linux. Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP and Unix sockets is a must. Work with one of the largest communication equipment vendors to build phase III of their inovative solution for energy management over ethernet.
Experience with routing protocols, spanning tree algorithms, vlan, etc is helpful. SNMP, ClearCase, systems programming, and/or embedded systems is desirable. Compensation of $45-65/hr depending upon experience. This position is for an initial 6-months located in NY/NJ, with possible extensions.
A Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field is a must. Prefer candidates with experience at Bell Labs, Bellcore, Alcatel-Lucent or other communications equipment vendor.
