Product Manager, Mastering Engineering: The Mastering product line represents the most advanced, educationally, effective and widely used homework and tutorial system for higher-education science and engineering in the world. We are currently seeking a product manager to focus on MasteringEngineering. As a member of the product development team, the product manager will be responsible for: gathering and prioritizing requirements, developing and testing prototypes of new functionality, writing functional and user-interface specifications and working with development, QA and documentation to ensure delivery of high value product enhancements.
Develop expertise with respect to our customers needs and our competitors capabilities. Track and prioritize product requirements by conducting market research supported by on-going dialog with customers and editorial teams. For assigned requirements, drive a solution set from conception to implementation by developing a business case, use cases, visual prototypes and functional & design specifications. Monitor and review the development of specific features including software engineering, QA and documentation.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative science discipline, preferably Engineering or Mathematics. Must be comfortable working with technical/mathematical content. 3 + years experience in a software product management, UI design, business analysis or similar role. Excellent teamwork, communication and organizational skills. Experience in teaching, educational publishing or educational technology is a plus. This position requires occasional travel to sites in North America.
