Position Responsibilities – Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Enterprise Architecture a Senior
Software Engineer is responsible for overseeing and participating in user
interface development efforts for external customers and/or internal
projects.
· Works with business users to design user-friendly applications
using .NET in a Winforms and web-based environment
· Participates in all phases of the software development life cycle
· Evaluates and makes recommendation on development related
technologies
Required Skills and Competencies:
· 5+ years software/application development experience
· Strong experience with UI development & Winforms & Web based
activities
· 2+ years using .NET (VS2008, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, web services a
plus)
· XML and XSD with XSLT a plus
· P&C Insurance industry experience a big plus
· Ability to work independently
· Comfortable working directly with clients
· Ability to accurately estimate development efforts
· Ability to work effectively on multiple efforts simultaneously
· Good team player
· Ability to step into multiple roles on an as-needed basis

an Enterprise Policy, Billing and Claims solution.
· Works with engineers and architects to design user-friendly
developer tools, engines and framework components that will be used by
downstream developers to craft and capture business rules, data requirements
and UI templates.
· Participates in all phases of the software development life
cycle.
· Evaluates and makes recommendation on development related
technologies.
Required Skills and Competencies:
· 10+ years software/application development experience
· 4+ years using .NET (VS2008, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, web services a
plus)
· 2+ years developing tools, architectural components, application
frameworks
· 2+ experience building high-throughput server engines
· UI development experience in C#/Winforms
· Strong WCF experience
· Strong NHibernate or related ORM experience
· XML and XSD with XSLT a plus
· P&C Insurance industry experience a big plus
· Ability to work independently

Position Responsibilities – Summary
As part of the firm's engineering team, lead/execute the implementations for
the firm's Replication/Migration/ Mapping.
· Contribute to the design and development of implementations for
the firm's Replication/Migration/ Mapping
· Hands on implementation of Replication/Migration/ Mapping
initially for our partners and then other customers
· Devise accurate estimates and resourcing needs that are needed
for the above approach
· Deliver implementations on schedule and with high quality
· Determine process efficiencies to streamline the process for the
next implementations
· Ensure accurate requirements and test plans and test-plan
automation are being developed for migration and replication work
Required Skills and Competencies:
· 5+ years of software development experience is required
· 2+ years of .Net, C# experience.
· Experience using advanced features of the .Net Framework, such as
Reflection CLR, SOA, ETL is a plus.
· Past strong experience using COM, VB, C++
· Experience working on or designing ETL projects & related
migrations
· MUST have strong database design and programming skills including
stored procedures and, ADO.NET. NHibernate is a plus.
· Advanced concepts such as custom controls, remoting and web
services (WCF) are a plus.
· BS Computer Science or related field
· Must be innovative, resourceful, and willing to take initiative.
· Must be an independent thinker, yet still be a team player
willing to take and give direction.
· Strong Oral, Presentation, Written and Communications skills
· Solid Analytical, Business Processing skills
· P&C Insurance industry experience a big plus
